Are we talking about the actors that are playing the characters or character adaptation? i'm listing the characters as they are portrayed in comparison to the books. like if their actions and script are better or worse in comparison to the books.

I like marg because we can see a lot more of her in the show for the reason I posted before. since it's not POV, they can make her character more interesting.


I LOVE Nicolaj. Hate how much of a villain they portray him as in s01 and s02 though. some of his actions are unforgivable, anyway you see it.

Ok, this one is more about the actor and not about the script. And I don't know exactly why, but I was hoping for someone darker and serious instead of the joker version of westeros. older, too. I think I was imagining him a bit like his father. psychotic? yes. but calm and collected.

The guy isn't even in the trailers. it's like he doesn't even exist.

I think they bungled the last appearance of Stannis in the show with Davos. Davos' appearance when he reads the Night's Watch letter was maybe one of my favorite scenes in the whole book, and the dialogue in the show wasn't very well done.

Whatever, as long as they nail the Wyman Manderly "My son is home" monologue, I'm a happy man.

I really prefer the TV take on Varys, he's given alot more depth in the show I think and the actor who plays him gives him a quiet dignity that I didn't really get from just reading the books.

I like show Theon so far, really interested to see how Reek comes out.

I didn't like him killing his cousin at all, I agree that that was a pretty huge mistake. I think I've just kind of blocked that out. Other than that he's been really great.

If your criticism of show Stannis is that we need MOAR STANNIS, then yes absolutely agree.

Charles Dance plays more or less the same character in Bleak House. He is great when he is typecast as a talk softly bad ass.

Tangent: as TV adaptations go, that was a decent production of Bleak House. Philip Davis does a great Mr. Smallweed.
