Also if Jon gets stabbed and dany peaces with dragon this season there's really nothing major we can spoil for non book readers, right? Hopefully some kind of new thread can be made for all of us to talk about the show. We can still talk about differences between the books and the show and additional show context here.

What's really going to surprise everyone is when Jon just dies and it turns out a song of ice and fire is about dragons teaming up with the White Walkers to kill the humans. Punishment for all the raping

Yeah, I laughed out loud at that line. It would be nice if the show writers took a left turn and Olly actually ended up realizing that Jon is right and defends him against the betrayers. Feel like the most likely scenario at this point is that the very last scene of the season is "For the Watch", and we're all left hanging until next season (or hopefully, until TWOW arrives early next year).

Looks like the TV show is going to skip the battle of Meereen which sucks. Tyrion's already met Dany, the Iron islanders aren't en route to Meereen and nothing has been mentioned about Yunkai starting a war.

Although I can forgive skipping the battle if it means Dany gets to Westeros via Dorne early next season.

Like what?

There's something important in the crypts beneath Winterfell? welp, ok what is it? ... some spoiler there

R+L=J. They already know that.

Jon's not staying dead. Well, we could be wrong, and odds are show watchers will react the same way we did... so no real shock there.

Tyrion is a Targaeryn? Well, maybe. Assuming it isn't Jaime/Cersei who are the secret targs. Or none of them... GRRM gonna troll after all

Aegon is a fake? Oh wait, who is he again?

Sansa is gonna end up on the throne, the virgin queen. Oh wait...

That thread is dead anyways. They were so afraid of book spoilers that they just ended the thread.

Yeah this. JFC, I know not everyone has the show/books memorized, but they could be a little less hit-you-on-the-head with these. As soon as the Valyrian steel was brought up, I knew Jon would be killing a WW with his sword.

Not going to speak for anyone else here but I can't imagine why people here would want to talk GOT with a bunch of show only people. They only watch the show, their knowledge is infantile.

Phew, thought I was the only fish here who was still absentmindedly watching these. The last ep was the last time.

Ah yes - with her being really surprised that that was possible. She'll try it in a moment of desperation perhaps.

what motivation does she have to try in the show?

From the show's POV we know she thinks he's something special by the conversation she had with him. We just don't know what she means by that really.

If Stannis fails she can realise John was TPTWP all along. Or she could just do it without knowing why the red God would want her too.

Fwiw if he is coming back to life the show needs to end on the revival. He is too big a star to secretly smuggle back to Iceland or wherever to film next season. Nine he dies, Stannis is turned back. Ten is the funeral, now his watch is ended and boom, revival roll credits.

oo, oo. How about she tries it on Stannis, fails, then tries it again on John and it works? That'd show where the red god wants her to work.

Heh came to see if everyone noticed Olly gonnn kill Jon dead. Good to see.

Also, I'm not sure why people seem to be thinking that warg/unwarg and Melony bringing Jon back are exclusive theories. Can't she bring him back from Ghost?

I think it's much more likely Ramsay dies than Stannis.

Anyways, that was FUN. I keep picturing the night king raising his hands/the dead and getting all hyped up I have to get up from my desk and walk around.
Someone needs to gif it with him slowly raising his hands up, then moving back and forth with disco lighting

You don't know what you don't know. You've already seen spoilers, like Selmy dying, Jojen dying, Tyrion becoming hand.

so what could be a spoiler? who knows. maybe the Knights King is shown to have the horn which destroys the wall. Or Zombie Mountain kills the High Sparrow. Or Doran kills Myrcella setting off a Lannister/Martell war. or Cersie is revealed to be a Secret Stark. there a million future plot lines from the book the show could show. personally I think that's ok
