Well if you know anything about Flashlore Grodd will not be easy for Flash. Add in the fact that he's evidently working with RF, you have two of Flash's biggest villains working against him. Plus Flash is still relatively 'young' in terms of developing his powers.

Think of it like a young Batman taking on a seasoned Bane and Joker simultaneously.

However, I still think there's more going on with Wells. I know next week's promo directly counters my argument, but I still feel there's more to him.

The show is good but it cant beat the island parts of arrow s1-s2.

As a non comic book reader i really enjoy how they dont tell us everything right away on everyone. I've never had so many questions and i dont want to look for the answers because its fun getting them slowly.

Very well done by the team.

Island flashbacks were great but tbh I'm going to get tired of this real soon. They're doing 1 year of flashback every season which means by season 5 we're still going to be flashbacking to his last year away and I think it's going to get really boring.

The wife and I have only seen two episodes of Arrow. One of which was last week and the wife didn't like it due to the flashbacks.

They were better in s1/s2. I don't mind them but don't think they need to have them every episode.

Looks like no new episode for several weeks.

Yea and I hate how usually the flashbacks are written specifically to coincide with the problem that arrow's dealing with that day

I DID enjoy the irony of the most recent flashback though:
S1: realtime starling flashback island
recent: realtime island starling flashback

Wow!

But
Spoiler:
I think the hurt the ending a bit when they showed Cisco in preview for next week, which evidently means that Flash turned back time and it never really happened now?
The Flash Quote

Spoiler:
Rofl you needed the preview to realize Cisco was still alive?

He traveled back in time, as evidenced by the very obvious visual cues (woman yelling at cab, dogs barking). Ergo, EVERYTHING that happened after he saw his future self hasn't happened yet

-Nobody knows Wells is Thawne
-Cisco is alive
-Iris hasn't proclaimed love to Barry
-Joe isn't injured
-Captain isn't paralyzed
-Weather Wizard still at large

BUT with a plot twist:

Barry knows he came back in time

Damn good episode though. But quite obvious what was going to happen from very early on.

Spoiler:
If they didn't show him, it would have been left a little more up in the air as to what exactly happened for a week. You also left out that Iris doesn't know Barry's the Flash too. I just thought they should have left it a little more vague and left some mystery exactly how they were going to handle it. You think you know, but you're not sure yet.

I thought it was a bit cheap, but I prefer this ending to some ambiguous ending that pretends all that stuff actually happened.

I've never read the comics so correct me if I'm wrong but they can pretty much undo whatever happens by going back in time whenever? If so I guess that always nice to have in your back pocket but I doubt they can use that trick to often.

speedforce

and yes they can go back in time.

in the comics the Flash has what he calls a cosmic treadmill that allows him to reach speeds to travel back in time.

hmm where have we seen a treadmill before?

and cmon even though I saw this coming are you telling me anyone was surprised by this? even non-comic readers should have known time travel was involved after each time we learned a little bit more about what happened the day Nora Allen was killed, and how about Barry's (adult) blood getting there? Or how about the newspapers from the future in Well's hideout?

I thought 2/3s of this episode was kind of lame but it really picked up nicely with the Wells reveal.

I have a confession. I knew about the reveal because....

Spoiler:
I've come back from the future.

Great Scott!

Oh, really? I don't remember you being so sure about Wells. I can go back in the past and find even more concrete examples.

I mean seriously, when you have a TV show whose two main keywords are Time Travel and Comics, they can literally do anything they wanted. And the writers decide to go level 1 with it? Unlikely.

My opinion literally hasn't changed. I don't think it's that simple, and it seems to be that I'm on to something, because Gustin has openly revealed that there will be twists that no internet forum have theorized about yet

Nora Allen died fifteen years ago. Wells has been stuck in this time for fifteen years. Him killing Barry's mom has already happened in his personal timeline. Going back in time and fighting the Reverse Flash has not occurred yet in adult Barry's lifetime.

It's possible that Wells went back in time as part of an interaction with the Flash. It seems more likely to me that Wells goes back in time from centuries in the future to fifteen years ago (an experiment gone wrong?) and encounters a time-traveling Flash, who he tries to use in an attempt to return home, accidentally killing Nora Allen in the process. (Since he was going to kill Cisco, he had no reason to lie, so I tend to believe that he wasn't trying to kill Barry's mom intentionally in order to create the Flash.)

This short jump back in time is going to establish the rules for time travel that will be in effect when Barry goes back to the night his mother died.

Show is hovering over the shark atm. They need to pull it back next week.

That they are already reaching critical levels of power creep is hilarious.

More like the show jumped into the shark and ripped it open from the inside out.

They embraced the time travel aspect without fear.

Great for them.

But then they went back in time and undid it, so the shark is fine?

Looks like Flash is now faster than the speed of light. Wonder if he'll have difficulties dealing with someone with no actual powers in the next episode.
