no clue, maybe when he administered poison?
the UN ships aren't either, I think they're more concerned with each other / the protomolecule?

indeed
the protomolecule goblin child is a stowaway, only a glimpse but clear

Just finished binging on the last 5 episodes. Wow. It just keeps getting better.

Really enjoy watching the show without having read the books. Usually I'm on the side of people saying that books are better due to the imagination filling in a lot of the blanks, as well as the books being better as a medium for telling off-screen back-histories...but this series is just so well done.

The 186 minutes line lost me, too, because it can't be the poison, the scene was shot with the whiskey bottle in frame enough imply that they were both still on their first glasses.

I think it may have been a reference to your second question, Errinwright ordered the missile strike on the MCRN pickup vessel before the meeting started.

Those survivors are Belters, why would they? All they want is their weapon.

Great finale...Caliban's War is also the title of one of the books.

Next season not until 2018!!

Let's hope it isn't offset an extra few months later in the year like it was this time!

Fantastic end to the season.

Only thing I'd have liked improved was a longer "Bobby power armor rampage" sequence. Probably a cool looking suit-up montage also lol.

Chilling final scene...

Yeah, they should shown Bobby strip down before getting in the suit....but this isn't alien, is it?

But it really wouldn't be much of a rampage, as she is virtually indestructible in that thing against what the other guys had. As they showed.

I hope Cotyar doesn't die. I like him.

So the Eros remains on Venus is doing some weird ****...

At times, this show transcends its b-movie scifi roots, but the season 2 finale very much failed to do that. The fight scenes were rubbish, I assume from low budget, and the climax wasn't very climactic. Sometimes the dialogue is clunky, but the characters are often interesting, but we lacked that a bit this episode, except Amos I guess.

The only good bit was the research vessel being disassembled.

The creature jumping after the warhead and then dissolving in the ship's wake - it was so similar to Gollum, the ring, and lava in mount doom from lord of the rings. It couldn't have been accidental.

been meaning to watch this show and finally did and really enjoyed it. Season 1 was crazy because it took me half the season to figure out what the hell was going on. Season 2 was better because I knew what was going on.

Amos is a dick. Not surprised everyone likes him, most guys like dicks in shows but I'm not one of them. Anyway I didn't like him or Naomi in season 1 but they grew on me in season 2.

The Belt accents are annoying. Am I supposed to have sympathy for belters at this point? I don't.

I was surprised this show has no emmy nominations, I enjoy it more than some shows I'm watching that have won emmys

sucks to wait a whole year for season 3 but I'm gonna hold off reading the books

Watched the first season, thought it was pretty good. Started the books, LOVED THEM, and just finished book 6.

Spoiler:
Agree with most of what's been said re: too much filler. One thing that really,
really bugged me. What happened to the protomolecule in Fred's office that was stolen by the Free Navy in Book 5? As far as I know that wasn't mentioned a single time in Book 6. Sooooo, it must be with the Martian remnant in Laconia, right? If they just drop it and never mention it again that will be ridiculous.

I hope this can survive without spoiler tags.

I believe they have the arc planned, and the fact that one of them has worked with GRRM before, makes me think they know how to pace a long series, and have something planned.

Like Game of Thrones, I kind of hope it ends with the human race dying, but maybe that reflects on me.

I could see the solar system being wiped out and a new, small rag-tag team going beyond the gate to start anew....

Spoiler:
Book 7 is entitled "Persepolis Rising." Persepolis was a city in the nacient Persian Empire. This leads me to believe that something beyond the gates is coming, whether it's whatever advanced civilization wiped out the race that developed the Protomolecule, or some other group of humans that went through he gates and used the advanced tech there to create a super-weapon.

We'll have to wait until December or so to find out.

Finally starting to catch up on this show. It's incredible to me that this is the same show as season 1. The production values and cgi are so much better.

I've only finished through episode 5 (which is about where book 1 ends) and wow the show has really come together nicely. I was not too impressed with season 1 and thought it might not succeed, but I'm very impressed with this season so far.

I was wondering that to, since I reread books 2-4 over the summer (sort of prepping for s3 on TV)but, after I read the Prologue and 1st chapter of Book 7 last night, I realize that just knowing the broad strokes of the last couple of book is fine.

<I'll use spoiler tags even though you get hit with this on page 1>

As this is Game of Thrones in Space - do we need a separate bookreader thread?

I doubt there's enough posters to justify it, as is I reckon the bookreaders have been pretty good at putting their future happenings in spoiler tags for the most part.
