Matt Damon (or even the Bourne character) isnt in Legacy. Stiles i have no idea but i dont care given the fact i have no plans to ever see it.

Great episode. While nothing remarkable happened, the plot went forward on several fronts and to me nothing felt cheesy or boring. Astor was fine (or even good), and gotta admit, Stiles wasn't so bad this time.

Not sure if they just played it out that way, but it'd be really silly if Quinn (btw I learned only now that it's actually his surname, not first name lol) suddenly just doesn't give a sh*t about Dex and the boat photos. Sure he doesn't want to upset Deb more than he already apparently did, but that really doesn't matter here at all. When he showed Jonah Dexter's photo the results were inconclusive, as the wit pro cop interrupted the conversation. And now that robocop comes up with this very suspicious photos with Dex and a chick disposing of big garbage bags at night at sea... if you were suspecting something before, the alarms should be off now. I really hope it was just that moment, maybe Quinn just wanted robocop to back off and he'd continue from there on his own.

And what's up with robocop anyway, why's he on Quinn's back so persistently? Doesn't feel like it's just about the money.

Kinda meh that the feud is all but over between Deb and LaGuerta just because LG revealed that Quinn was actually not on vacation but suspended. LG's still a bitch and Deb should defend her place on the scapegoat thing (maybe she will, remains to be seen).

Lol at Masuka joking at the teen girls' expense.

This is a tad bit off topic, but , I just found out from my friend that Dexter and Deb are married in real life. Did you guys know this?

Here is an e online link on their wedding in Big Sur:

That just seems so wrong to me for some reason.

I read a spoiler last night which doesn't give away anything about the season, but what it states has my imagination running wild.
Your theory is ******ed. It would have been called ******ed by more people if you hadnt put it in spoilers so people ignored it.

Oh and it is now dead.

I seriously dont know where to begin when you actually believe that Trinity might be linked to the current murder group.

No, he wants to get back on the force, or at least get revenge against LaGuerta. He wants to ruin the Homicide department and clear his name. That's why he's so gung-ho to get some dirt on a Homicide employee like Dexter. Sure he can shake down Quinn for money, but his main motivation is his reputation/job.

Also, despite the fact that he looks like death warmed over, Peter Weller is doing an amazing job on this season. I love the glee with which he plays Liddy.

"Are you crazy?"
"Yeeeaahhaaah! But that's got nothing to do with this!"

He's probably the second best actor on the show right now.

I did think a lot of the puns in the dialogue were really weak. "You're in killer shape, Dexter!" waa-waaahhh!

sickkkkk episode :-o cant wait till next monday

Why are you wasting your time arguing over things related to the previews. +EV to not watch them imo.

Yeah old news. It does bring some twist to certain scenes, like Dex keeping Deb in the dark about Lumen in this ep. Not sure what you mean by it "seeming so wrong" but I do kinda think that MCH could've done better so to speak. But totally none of my business and what do I know...
11-22-2010 , 03:05 PM
That was really good!
11-22-2010 , 03:27 PM
no comment yet on masuka being on craigslist casual encounters while talking to dexter in the lab...highlight of the ep for me.

and, like most, i'm actually excited again!

my prediction

lumen gets caught and takes the fall for dexter in the season finale for all the murders (as the preview showed her wanting to finish off jordan chase) and somehow...with plenty of plot holes...dexter escapes unscathed

Jesus, that has a spoiler and you just labelled it as a theory.
11-22-2010 , 03:41 PM
Right now is about the time in the season this thread borders on spoiling everything for me. If people don't post explicit spoilers there are enough intelligent people to come up with a pretty good theory on how everything gets wrapped up at the end and even though it's just a theory it ruins it for me if it comes true. I like to not think about possible plot advancements and resolutions in case I stumble across something that fits.

See y'all after the finale.

I was wondering about this too, I'm sure it was talked about earlier in the season when I wasn't paying much attention. What exactly did he do or was accused of doing? I'm guessing nothing bad enough for Dexter to kill him over.
11-22-2010 , 04:21 PM
im confused. are you mad at me phill?
11-22-2010 , 04:32 PM
Not mad at you at all. Its just most consider the preview to be a spoiler.

So you labelled something that was a spoiler as a prediction. So i mean its not great and just sloppy labelling imo. Then i reported it to Dids so he can edit your explanation of what was in the spoil tags and he removed them.

In an effort to not tard up this thread i made a post in the moderation thread basically on this subject.

The post above yours was directed at another guy who removed or had removed his posts directed at me so i just deleted it.

I'm thinking almost no one is going to end up saying this season is by far the worst, some are probably going to think it is the least best, but not by a long shot, most are going to rank it at 4th or 3rd spot, some 2nd and maybe some randos 1st.

From the first season I saw of Dexter I realised the way they make the show is so you can only judge it after the S is over.

S4 just had an amazing guest actor that made the entire season interesting, S2 obv had some suspense from the start, but what was there in S3 and 1 to keep the starts interesting?
Pretty much nothing. Yet they were and are both pretty amazing, even while rewatching.

Last 2 eps were amazing and I'm guessing next 3 are going to be even better.

Also, ending of this episode imo 3rd best moment ever in Dexter imo.

1) Hello, Dexter Morgan
2) Rooftop scene S3
3) This

While it was a very nice plot twist(probably from a plot point of view the best yet) there was no real good scene or "moment" for it iirc, maybe I'm mistaken. S1 has been a while, but can't think of a strong scene between Dexter and Rudy besides the one in the room with Debra, which was still great and would be like my fifth scene probably(4th being the dock scene with Doakes and Dexter).

Great episode..faith has been totally restored in this show.

umm the only thing from the preview i alluded to has actually already been referenced this season (Lumen wanting the chance to kill her attacker/s) and my finale prediction is nothing but theory. apparently im at fault for putting a prediction in spoilers (and thus causing confusion) but my point: you're wrong.

you think this funny??
not at all, they said that stain would come out!

For the first time in a TV show I kinda regret watching the preview.. I like my WTF moments in Dexter
11-22-2010 , 07:09 PM
glad i never watch the previews

Awesome episode, really find the Quinn storyline interesting now, him caught between "chasing"/investigating Dexter (which he still wants obv) and Deb with the Christopher Henderson dynamics. Excited to see how this storyline works out amongst all the others.

I love Rita so much! Even tho she was boring in the end, id rather her than Lumen.
