Quinn is gonna get killed for sure at the end of this season. Doakes tried this. Didn't work out so well for him.

Subpar episode for Dexter's standards but there was so much post-murder fallout that had to happen so it is understandable. Rest of season still looks promising obv. Not sure how I feel about the Debra + Quinn subplot.

I have a feeling I'm not going to like this season.

I thought it was a great episode. They have to deal with the magnitude of what happened and I thought the tone was perfect. The juxtaposition of Dexter on the first date and Dexter now was wonderfully played, one of Hall's finest performances ever. I would be shocked if this wasn't his emmy episode for next year.

The "This Season on Dexter" preview got me hyped up as hell. The actual episode... not so much. I didn't mind it, and I kind of expected it to be like that. I just thought I would enjoy it more.

I still think season is going to be insane. I hope it doesn't take awhile to get there.

am i the only one that finds debra strangely attractive? she looks so f wierd, but something hot about her.

I was saying last week to a couple friends this is the key season for the show.

Right now it isnt as punchy a start as 2 or 4 had but it wasnt bad. MCH sold the ep and the scenes like when he told the kids was just amazingly awkward that you really started to get a feel for how he just has no clue what he is meant to do. The season seems to be setting itself up to balance between the guy who tries and fails at coping through logic (like giving the kids one more day of happiness or that 911 call) and the pure rage serial killer side (ie the dark passenger) who had his first spur of the moment kill.

The Quinn/Deb sub plot im trying to hold off judgement on. I have zero investment in the Quinn character which definitely clouds my opinion on the level of suckitude it is likely going to produce.

I would guess the pace is going to change next episode when the FBI do their interview and Quinn presses onwards with his assumptions (queue him telling Deb and her calling him a **********) and having a slower ep to say goodbye to Rita is fine, esp with the direction they took with the flashbacks of their first date.

She is v hot. We are a minority in thinking this, lol.
