Dexter: season 5 Dexter: season 5

Possible spoiler, but not hard to find.

Spoiler:
IMDB has her listed for only 3 episodes.

Could be totally wrong though.

Here is a spoiler specifically about that above spoiler:

Spoiler:
all the press releases and everything i can find show her in the show for 10 eps (ie 12 ep seasons, so from now to the finale if not longer)

I read a couple other spoilers when i tried to confirm my memory on that. The season seems to have a lot of promise to it.

I really hope yours is correct. Mine would suck

I think the reason:

Spoiler:
IMDB has this is because they only publish episodes when they get full cast lists, otherwise they would have a full season of 12 eps with MCH as Dexter and literally every other character slot can be TBD.

quit tempting me

this defo implies that:

Spoiler:
she is here to stay all season. not that that wasn't already the more likely scenario.

presumably there are bigger spoilers than that on there which you've saved us from so ty!

Todd VanDerWerff wrote It's often easy to think that any Dexter episode is only as good as its ending.

I think that this is true of this episode. Great ending, some great setpieces, typical terrible overnarration and B-stories. All and all an episode that exceeded my expectations.

God damn it I clicked that without even thinking.

Most likely because you described it as a "possible spoiler", when it is actually a "HUGE spoiler"

Sorry. Click the others then. Mine is wrong. The others are about the same thing.

Ppl should be posting "possible spoiler about Quinn" or something. I haven't clicked any spoilers, I know there are ppl out there that cannot help themselves.

Anyone else think the Mighty Quinn looks unhealthily thin this season?

more jarring because it was supposed to take over the same day as last season ended

Without reading the spoilers isnt it conceivable that with the shock Stiles is going through that Dexter uses it to his advantage. Its not his style to kill innocents even if it is to protect himself (which is clearly dumb)

He could easily lock her back up, clean up the crime scene etc and somehow implicate Stiles in Boyds murder, she would face no implications since she was one of Boyds victims. I could also see this backfiring in that she claims someone else did it the police say no no etc, she then does a police sketch thing and it looks just like the only Trinitys family did.

Side notes:

Quinn needs to eat a sandwich

Deb needs to not talk so much, she has no acting range. All she has is distraught anger and that annoying ****ing mouth

Anhhhel was much better when its him and Matsuka doing their thing.

I wish it was Laguerta they killed in season 1 and not Doakes. Doakes added so much to the show and him lingering and trying to figure out Dexter would be better than the show constantly having other characters do it (Smits, Quinn, Season 2 Crazy bitch)

I doubt Astor and Cody are completely gone, I can already picture Season Finale them coming back to live with Dexter and him needing to juggle the hectic family life even more.

There are some gaping holes that annoy me like how is he so easy to account for him being "busy" all the time with a FT job and home life. He can easily go off and stalk Boyd etc and work is not looking for him, and no one questions it.

I was really hoping this season was going to return to its season 1 roots, it appears it may in some ways with Stiles possibly but that was NOT the aspect I was hoping for.

dexter has had time off work due to Rita's death, he wanted to come back and they wouldn't let him

Not killing innocents is dumb? Just wow. I mean yes it would be really convenient for him to kill her but there's this little thing called a conscience that stands in his way (without which he becomes just another sociopath).

Wow again. Dexter is supposed to be a somewhat sympathetic character I thought, not just another sociopath who screws over whoever gets in his way? His ethical system is more than a bit unconventional, but he does have ethics.

EDIT: Oh I misinterpreted that last bit. I guess he could do that and it wouldn't totally screw her over, she'd be able to claim self defense.

This show would be amazing if Angel/Laguerta scenes were replaced with commercials.

For the sake of the show it would destroy all our expectations of Dexter, we would lose that part of him that lets us cheer him on. But it would be the smart thing to do if it was reality, it would just be another garbage bag for him to throw in the ocean.

I know one thing for sure. If I was ever kidnapped, held and savagely beaten against my will I would definitely not get in the car with some uncool looking frat boys. NO WAY.
