I believe that the actor's union requires this. Luckily I missed this and somehow got mixed up on shows and thought that I had heard Julia Stiles was going to be on House this season. So I was very surprised to see her.

What do you call the guy in the bathroom a couple episodes ago? I guess to you he's not "innocent" because he said some mean things to Dexter? Dexter's code is to only kill murderers, and bathroom guy was just a dick. He's broken the code several times, and killed several innocents -- whether by accident or in the heat of passion on purpose.

Not that I'm saying he'll kill Julia Stiles -- I really don't think he will -- I'm just saying you can't apply "Dexter doesn't kill innocents" to any plot prediction anymore. That ship has sailed.

And killing Julia Stiles would fit the "heat of passion" category, right? Like when she's shivering afraid for her life in his arms, I can see how that would really get his blood boiling!

julia stiles is so ****ing dead

The cop as a killer is a reach imo.

ya the show isn't that predictable. Unless they're pulling the reverse level.

Spoiler:
which would still be very lame

Also bad that somehow they didn't find the syringe. It was basically right in/under his hand as he collapsed.

Did the person that called them into the hospital find both of them? I don't remember the dialogue, but I thought it was implied that Boyd woke up before Dexter and grabbed the syringe so he could take care of the situation himself later on.

?

Hasn't the majority of the people dexter killed been serial killers?
10-12-2010 , 06:07 AM
no, most were 1 time deals where the legal system/process 'failed'
10-12-2010 , 06:24 AM
Or multiple murderers, which is different from a "serial killer" in the traditional sense (the ritual aspect).
10-12-2010 , 06:35 AM
hes killed plenty of real bad people over a episode or 2.

the nanny will def have some story. i think it will be a pretty crazy one. daddys gone hunting again, going to find the rabbit skin? not sure what she sings. then later says she loves watching the baby sleep.

this, such a great face at that take =D

Liked this episode a lot. But the first two werent that good. I hope Dex gets his thrill back for killing because without that the serie will be pretty boring.

Deb still tilts me a lot. Really hate that characters since the beginning.

I dont think the kids will be back. They are out of the serie, 'bout time too.

That head-case (lul.) hasnt got my intrest yet either. Needs more connection to the main characters.

Angel tilts me too. He always talks very weirdly, aweful, i hope he gets fired/in prison/woteva'.

Anyway, the end of the episode was great, cant wait to see how it will develop and how Dex will handle that situation.

I think the best part of Dexter is his monolog, which was mostly what made the show really interesting.
I thought this episode was really good and as others said way better then the last 2

great ep - very happy with this season. good one liners and deb is growing on me. when she left and said "love you bro" and then just stood there waiting on dexter to reply i loved the awkwardness.
10-12-2010 , 10:56 AM
Yeah it's definitely getting better. I was pleasently surprised that Dex got tranquilized and was hoping for more subsequent action (some cat/mouse play similar to Dex and Trinity's last season) on that account but they ended up cutting it short, perhaps it's too early in the season for that kind of broader action.

Just finished a similar TV show, Profit, and noticed how much it lacked the boring subplots that Dexter has (and which virtually all seem to dislike). Profit concentrated on the main character all the time without stal(l)ing or getting boring. Dexter could step it up imo.
10-12-2010 , 02:59 PM
show needs more comedy. ie more matsuka
10-12-2010 , 05:16 PM
I always want to skip Angel/Laguerta scenes but im afraid they may say something relevant ONE TIME
10-12-2010 , 05:17 PM
I fistpumped when Laguerta got the news Angel might be going to jail or whatever. I still hope they both die in some sort of fire.
10-12-2010 , 07:39 PM
Yeah, i told you all that you were writing the show off way too early.

Btw whoever predicted very early in the last thread Dexter gets rid of Rita (no one predicted the death) and the kids and then gets a hot girlfriend who likes him as a killer might have somehow pulled the hail mary shot out of nowhere.

I was a bit annoyed with the "maybe you should check interpol" if it turns out the nanny is some kind of child murderer or some ****. Hopefully thats just a swerve.

Otherwise good ep and im hoping this is a sign that they are building the show up to be extremely good after a slow start with the Rita send off ep.

if she is somehow a serial killer that would be super lame...every person that comes into these people's lives is miraculously a serial killer, a little hard to believe imo...

Harrison gonna kill the nanny!
