quinn and deb banging was almost the worst moment in tv history

I liked the episode, other than the rita phone call after their date, but someone already touched on that.

Season previews look good

you cant jump in like you have with so many preconceptions like you have. dexter is a complicated character and is not always meticulous or expected to be. in fact the more human he becomes or spread out his attention the more his ability to efficiently and methodically kill suffers and this is a major theme in the show. we already know so much about the disposal of bodies that we dont need to see everyone and this one was from a flashback. i do look forward to more indepth kill scenes though, which i can assure will come. he also punched the neighbor out in one of his few scenes of humanity which is antithetical to his killing nature. its more weird that he reacted so humanely to the indiscretion at all, but thats obviously emphasizing the theme of his battle. he doesnt usually kill for a trasgression like this anyways, and for the most part follows a code that doesnt allow this. you should really watch from the beginning or dont give the show a try at all. I guarantee you wont enjoy it if you want the show to live up to how youd always thought dexter would be or whatever and quibble about things you cant really understand without a depth that the show has built up. also this was a particularly bad episode to start on, so id really suggest you do give it another try.

the fact that its inciting so much emotion means it was a good scene ;-)

and btw obv the worst moment in TV history was
Spoiler:
when Chris died in the middle of 'Silk Stalkings' leaving his pregnant wife (also Rita...coincidence?!) completely shattered. Hell i was completely shattered

What they turned 8 Simple Rules For Dating My Teenage Daughter into after John Ritter died is probably the worst moment in TV history.

So Deb and Quinn clean up blood and then have sex. Then within three minutes, Dexter tells Rita's parents and kids she's dead, pauses, then says, "Sorry for your loss."

That was three minutes of WTF right there.

Otherwise, I liked it.

dexter saying "sorry for your loss" was awesome

robbie cano is right - that line was great. if you don't get why, you need to re-watch the ep!

I get that it's a reference to what the funeral dude said to him, but I still think it's a pretty odd comment to make - even for somebody as socially inept as Dexter.

Liked the ep overall though.

At first I thought the line was odd, then I thought about how the character really has no clue what to say - he is grasping at straws as it were. In that context, it makes total sense.

yeah it is very credible for dexters character to say that. remember how he propesed to rita? he quoted that crazy woman who killed that guy.

ya she was really awful this episode, and overall pretty slow episode not terrible but slow. Hope next few pick things up + done with astor.

Is Dexter gay IRL? serious q
10-03-2010 , 10:32 PM
.... married to Deb IRL
10-03-2010 , 10:51 PM
Slow episode, but I liked it. Future episodes are gonna pick up nicely with all the Dexter-Kyle Butler interrogating.

Ugh, Astor's actor is really bad, I think.
