I didn't get the impression that Deb was mad at him for anything other than not showing up to the meeting with the feds. That was just for Dexter's protection. She took care of all the funeral stuff with less bitching than she usually does.

Thought this was one of the worst openers of all the shows I watch. Hopefully the season gets better. I will miss Rita and curious what happens to the kids. Weather they stay with him or the Grandma and his kid?

I think I'm probably the least critical TV watcher in all of OOTV. I think all of the peripheral characters in the show are fine, they've never bothered me at all.

One of the things I didn't like about the premiere was that they didn't deal w/ him disposing of the body of the random dude he killed at all. Dunno if maybe previews for this season shows that coming back to bite him or not but I'd be really annoyed if, after 4 seasons of showing how careful and meticulous he is about disposing of bodies and leaving no evidence behind, he kills a guy spraying blood everywhere in some random location and the show just forgets about it.

I thought showing him not disposing of the body was supposed to further the idea of how different this kill was than all of the others. He was a mess because of Rita's death. He was impulsive, sloppy, etc.

i am still surprised at all of the "subpar" feelings towards the premier(e). the flashbacks/random impulsive kill/quinndebbang/etc all of these new elements were great!
