Dexter: season 5 Dexter: season 5

I didn't get the impression that Deb was mad at him for anything other than not showing up to the meeting with the feds. That was just for Dexter's protection. She took care of all the funeral stuff with less bitching than she usually does.

Thought this was one of the worst openers of all the shows I watch. Hopefully the season gets better. I will miss Rita and curious what happens to the kids. Weather they stay with him or the Grandma and his kid?

I think I'm probably the least critical TV watcher in all of OOTV. I think all of the peripheral characters in the show are fine, they've never bothered me at all.

One of the things I didn't like about the premiere was that they didn't deal w/ him disposing of the body of the random dude he killed at all. Dunno if maybe previews for this season shows that coming back to bite him or not but I'd be really annoyed if, after 4 seasons of showing how careful and meticulous he is about disposing of bodies and leaving no evidence behind, he kills a guy spraying blood everywhere in some random location and the show just forgets about it.

my thoughts exactly. of all the shows I watch, that was the most underwhelming season opener. i'm not worried about it, that's just the way the cookie crumbled.

+1 to the dumb girl ruining that scene. i realize it must be difficult to be a child actor, but she is by far the worst child actor of all time.

i don't understand the "strange hotness" of Deb but if you're down with the 12 yr old boy look, more power to u!

i'm impressed MCH was able to recover in time to shoot the show. my gf google searched the season opener, MCH was rockin a $10k wig.

I'm also attracted to Deb -- but the crying is huge turn-off.

Oh, I forgot, this was the first episode of this show I ever watched and I don't get the hype, Dexter just sounds like a big ball of emo and doesn't seem that badass at all. He kills some random guy but only punched his next door neighbor for making out with his wife? gtfo. SEASON PASS: DELETED

Honestly if they never deal with it i wont care. I can easily just assume he disposed of the body and any evidence or he just walked out with the weapon and there is no actual evidence he left behind with the body. However i wouldnt object to it somehow being mentioned again.

Its not gonna bug me either way.

I thought showing him not disposing of the body was supposed to further the idea of how different this kill was than all of the others. He was a mess because of Rita's death. He was impulsive, sloppy, etc.

More power to you if this gets to you, but am I the only one not bothered in the least by this sort of thing?

i notice it, but i get over it and understand that kid actors play kid characters...

Last season they left one of the murders hanging for one episode I believe. It was when he killed the mexican guy from the bar and got into a car crash and he couldn't remember if or how he disposed of the body. It is much more likely though that they don't revisit this murder for closure except for Dexter reminiscing about it.

Assume he tossed it off his boat, which he came with. I doubt that's a homicide/missing persons case that will torture the Dade County police for years.

haha that was a great line.

i am still surprised at all of the "subpar" feelings towards the premier(e). the flashbacks/random impulsive kill/quinndebbang/etc all of these new elements were great!
