It only took them 13 episodes for all the vague non-story lines to start converging into a coherent plot.

I started watching this show a month ago and finally caught up. Even though the story was slow in the early going, the binging made it much easier to watch. I'm really enjoying the show, I agree that it's hit its stride.

Frankie and Larry Brown went from boring characters to some of the best this season.

Was funny how they called Larry a trick after he paid his hooker for her time.

Based on this episode, looks like we'll be seeing Abby for a long time. Abby the Politician incoming.

I fist bumped when CC got got. He was an awesome character that I loved to hate and the actor is awesome in that role.

It’s going to be interesting to see where it goes with another time jump next season. Pimps are gone. I assume Larry is back as an actor. Season 2 was better than Season 1 but it ended kind of flat for me. It felt like a series finale but I read that season 3 is the finale.

Really think they needed to resolve Dorothy's murder. Knowing there is another ~5 year jump coming up next season, this season feels incomplete w/o knowing what happened to her.

Seeing as how 3/4 of them are either dead/in police custody or too busy "acting." Yes I think it's a valid question that wasn't obviously answered and leaves an obvious plot hole given that we know next season starts in the early to mid 80's.

Who were the pumps discussing it? CC, larry, Rodney and the Puerto Rican. Given process of elimination it had to be the PR.

I don't think Larry was there. There were also some randoms. Could be Rod too, although PR is heavily implicated.

Ya there's new pimps in the equation and Larry wasn't around for the talk of killing the ex-hooker. So I think half of the pimps at that talk are dead unless there were 5 there, I'm thinking there were 4 there so 2 are prime suspects.

So the only one left was the Puerto Rican but then at the end there were 3 more pumps that hadn't been seen much if at all who could have been involved.

But I think there was a reason Simon didn't make it a whodunit. Because ultimately it didn't matter who did the deed. The point was that it was the nature of the deuce and all the ppl who benefit from the oppression and exploitation of the girls that killed her. Simon didn't show the murderer bc he didn't want to pin the blame on an individual but he wanted show that everyone involved in the deuce was complicit.

What I couldn't figure out is why CC didn't want to hurt her as he was shown as the most vile of the group. What did he have planned? What was his mindset?

She was his 5y ago. CC was an *******, but wasn't a murderer.
