I could see it happening. But not for probably 3 or 4 years before its actually in production.

All these years, I've never got my hopes up when these rumors pop up.

HBO has the rights to the show, bankroll, most of the actors are still alive, and they are allegedly making a movie.

I'm not surprised someone who misses a subtlety like that can't appreciate Deadwood.

Deadwood is aimed at the NA audience (and rightly so being made in the US, and the biggest English speaking TV demographic) but fails to bridge the cultural differences between the US viewer and their rest of the world counter part.

Similar to Justified, which is another overrated show.
