Another reason to believe the movies might happen! Keep the show on folks' minds!

I had given up years ago, but now I have new hope. How awesome would that be?

Opening scene would be Bullock barricading himself in the sheriff's office (the one with that awesome cage), refusing to concede the crooked election that ousts him from office, and Swearengen convincing him to go along, instead of taking the law into his own hands.

Then, I imagine, the fire that wipes out the camp would have to happen fairly early (get to work on that stock footage, CGI guys! Make it burn!).

And then the fun begins! Here's a blank canvas, David, go wild!

The other night was a rare night of playing poker for me. I got stuck $150 in a $3-6 limit game, but dug in, played better, and got even before the end of the night.

Tonight, I was dealing, and a coworker was playing. He was stuck over $200 in the same game, and reloading, resolving to get even.

I told him about my comeback, hoping to give encouragement. But he was still discouraged, complaining about how he hasn't won a single pot.

"Well, never weaken, Pilgrim! Twixt nugget and nothin', she'll usually show you some flake!"

Nobody got the reference.

I'm a sick person.

I just started watching this show. After 1.5 seasons, it has passed Breaking Bad as my favorite show ever. The dialogue, the cinematography, the acting...everything is just absolutely perfect. I can't believe there were only 3 seasons made of this. Incredible.

I was watching this the other day. Bullock is in Hearst's room talking with him i think for the first time and Bullock keeps wiping and tugging on his nose. Hearst eventually asks him if needs a tissue. What is going on?

IIRC, Every time Hearst says something that makes Bullock want to charge across the room and knock his teeth out, Bullock instead nervously tugs on his nose.

I'll have to watch it again to make sure.

(Now I'm thinking it's whenever Hearst talks about Alma?)

Here it is: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=guxNtlktMbU

Bullock goes for the nose when Hearst:

--mentions Bullock's candidacy for sheriff (something Hearst can easily influence);
--says "Mrs Alma Garrett Ellsworth" for the first time;
--suggests Bullock act as intermediary between Hearst and Alma.

The nose thing is a nervous tic as he tries to hold his temper.

EDIT TO ADD: Five seconds after he leaves the room, he kicks the crap out of the first person he sees (Farnum), so yeah, I'm voting for "nervous tic as he holds back his temper."

He beats Farnum because he thinks Farnum told Hearst he was banging Mrs. Garrett. But after watching the scene i guess it was an anger management tool.

OMFG I just watched the entire series of Deadwood. Simply brilliant. I put this show in my top 5 of all time, along with The Wire, Arrested Development, Breaking Bad, Seinfeld, and Curb Your Enthusiasm.
