I thought the final season was pretty bad, tbh.
The first half is a complete grind, just nonstop scenes of people telling other people "you don't understand how it's all connected, but in time you will. For now, you must X. The light and the shadow" and then the other person doing that thing, until 20 minutes later when a different person convinces them that they were lied too.
Then after putzing around for 5 episodes, the show realized it needed to end so it introduced an entirely new solution and then they just did it. The show goes from treating time travel like a religion with strict 33 year shifts and all these rules into technobabble and pulling levers around electricity and
a bunch of mysteries that were set up just never went anywhere
I think the rules here are OK to spoil 1-2 but not three, so I'll just echo Elrazor's complaint. The introduction of an entirely new world with functionally(from a narrative perspective) a new Claudia and a new Noah(s) was a mistake. If those were going to be the antagonists, they should've been introduced earlier. I think the show would actually suffer quite badly on a rewatch because of this, all the mystery and intrigue in season 1 evaporates because you understand that for no good reason everyone on both sides of the conflict is studiously avoiding any mention of extremely important characters.
