My Netflix also skipped whatever recap he's talking about(unless you mean just the stuff where he's in the water? I legitimately thought that was a dream sequence until like 3 scenes after it happened lol), but after skimming Wikipedia yes all you need to have watched is DD1 DD2 and The Defenders to understand what's going on.

But even after that, even then there's this weird avant garde editing thing where it cuts between a flashback to the end of S2 Daredevil so abruptly it's not clear that it's a flashback, there's no outside events to peg anything to so it's not clear how long everything is taking or when the Froggie/annoying blonde woman scenes are happening, and it's also unclear why he doesn't call Froggie and the annoying blonde woman.

Obviously he never had superpowers but he loses his radar in S1 of Season 3 from the building collapse... after losing his powers in Season 2 when he gets shot in his facemask by the Punisher. But then they don't even do anything with it, he's never confronted with a challenge that he has to face as a regular blind guy, he just mopes around until his sinuses clear.

The 3rd episode is season 2 level awful, introducing the unbelievably hacky thing where a character's inner monologue is expressed by an argument with a hallucination, the writers apparently forgetting the difference between a hotel and an apartment building, and a scene where a character sneaks in the service entrance of a building that is open to the public.

I binged so could be getting things out of order but I thought he tried before that and FBI dude was at the elevator and wouldn't let him up without a room key.

Yeah no that would make sense, but he got into the hotel at the very start from the service entrance, in disguise, using the code he deduced from listening to beeps... then went to the lobby and took off his disguise. The lobby. Of a hotel that was in business and had customers.

Then he tried the unbelievably stupid "try to get past the FBI guy checkpoint" plan which didn't work, of course, without his disguise he looked like a hobo.

Also man I don't wanna get too political but it is ****ing PEAK "call your manager" white liberalism to clearly believe the show is left leaning(advocacy for the poor, subplot about health insurance costs being too high, etc.) but have a narrative where obviously everyone would be ****ing LIVID that a criminal got put up in a slightly nicer prison cell.

None of the characters even slightly consider that letting Fisk stay on house arrest to keep him safe while he snitches is a worthy tradeoff given that he got stabbed in the prison. (Every prison has protective custody and using a safehouse is a terrible idea, but that's not their problem)

Seriously I'm now on Episode 4 and Karen is giving Foggie a pep talk about how Fisk "has to be stopped" but like, he's not doing anything? Why are they so mad about this? Why can't these characters be written like adults instead of children it's been 3 seasons and everyone complained about how annoying they were last season.

The fight scenes are still good but man Murdock needs new friends

I thought season 2 was pretty bad, but season 3 was probably my favorite overall of all the Netflix Marvel seasons.

I assume this will be the last season because of the Disney/Netflix licensing stuff, but we will see.

Finishing up Season 3 and have to agree it's top tier. A couple of terrible episodes but overall the plot, acting and action are all amazing. My top three Marvel Netflix seasons:

Daredevil 1
Punisher 1
Daredevil 3

Decided to watch after all the praise. I thought it was terrible. The finale was so terrible it felt like a parody of the genre. At least I laughed multiple times. I was rooting for Karen to be killed at every point but I'm glad everything worked out and she'll be back for more over-acting and more heavy breathing.

I'm done with all the superhero shows.

Finished up season 3 yesterday. It was alright but this series is really getting stale. And for a so-called superhero Daredevil get the **** kicked out of him a lot. I liked the Bullseye character but felt he was too strong in hand to hand combat and should be more concentrated on his bullseye skills.

I thought it was the opposite. I thought the fights seemed to suggest Daredevil had the upper hand when it came to hand to hand but anytime Bullseye got some distance he could chuck stuff to beat him.

Disney is pulling out all Marvel related content from Netflix /except those that are funded by Netflix and have some rights by Netflix/, because there will be Disney + streaming service in late 2019.

and even more annoying if we dont get Net neutrality back and we see cable companies starting to do deals to speed up and slow down certain ones on different services.

Disappointing. Even with their own service I can't see DisneyFlix continuing the same show/cast, and on the chance they do I can't see it being any more brutal than PG-13. At least Daredevil S3 ended in a pretty good spot.

I guess that makes Punisher S2 the last good marvel show for a while I hope it lives up to the first!

Agreed. I mostly enjoyed season 3, but thought the finale was weak.
