My episode ratings

I just got to episode 11. Enjoying it but still think the first season was better. Some of the long drawn out conversations are a little much for me. First episodes of the season were good then it hit some boring episodes when they introduced Electra.

Luckily kingpin enters the story hes such a bad azz. The first episode with him being in the entire thing was by favorite episode by far. Dont think either of the last two episodes can beat that.

Just finished it and tbh it felt like a chore. I thought the season was a mess and a huge drop in quality from season one. Random thoughts.

- Season did not have a villain. Season 1 was straightforward with one hero and one great villain. At the beginning of season 2 the villain is punisher then he turns into a hero, then electra who also turns into a hero and I guess the villain that we are left with at the end was some Japanese guy?

- They put way too many things into the season and it got confusing. From the Punisher, to Electra to the Yakuza to the zombie vampires I got lost. If you'd ask me what the story line with Electra was about I don't think I could explain it.

- They had that great hallway fight in season 1 so now we get 5 fights per episode. Honestly I lost count on how many fight scenes there were with random ninjas.

- The Punisher storyline was the best thing of this season and especially the first 3-4 episodes were very good but by the end of the season I felt like the were beating us on the head every time his family was mentioned.

- Daredevil was pretty useless. I don't know what his defining moment was this season. He comes in beats up some villains then goes away. Somehow can't get out of my head that he's supposed to be blind. His constant whining about not killing people is extremely annoying. All and all very uncompelling character.

- The cringe was real in many many instances felt like I was watching a bad soap opera. My top 3 are:
- Electra and DD talking about going on vacation after the fight is over.
- Electra, DD, Sting learn she is "the one" from the Japanese.
- Foggy opening statements in court.

- The police is also the absolute worst in every chance they get.

Season 1 > season 2.

Karen has to be the worst character all-time, all her lines are so cheesy and dumb.

Just finished first episode and did not start the second. Maybe I'm not remembering the comics correctly, but what's with the Punisher being an absolute psycho? From what I remember there's no way his character would have indiscriminately shot up a hospital, right?

That plus every second of Foggy was what dissuaded me from binge-watching.

I feel like I'm going all nunn here, but this is really ****ty writing.

Have to say as well the season was a let down by the end, especially after seeing the first 4 episodes and getting my hopes up. They needed more Fisk and a proper villain, not a bunch of random asian dudes. And it just seemed like ninjas kept coming and coming. So many things left hanging too.

I think the whole Elektra thing was to appeal to more female viewers and her whole character just basically sucked.

Not sure where they can really take this for Season 3 but we already know they are setting up for the Defenders so there will definitely be one.

Netflix Punisher series officially on the way.

Hopefully they get the tone and plot right. It has potential to be awesome but it could easily spiral into empty violence porn. Which might still be awesome I guess.

Punisher was bad ass.

First 4 episodes of S2 were good.

season 3 is now live.

Welp there goes my weekend. Season 3 shows a lot of promise with Fisk returning.

I hope Frogie dies this season.

5 episodes down, It's pretty addictive!
Dex is a freak.

I tried to watch episode 1 and holy **** what the **** is going on I can't even tell you when the various scenes are taking place. I did not realize I needed to watch all(some? one?) of the other MCU Netflix shows. I watched the 2 DD seasons, Punisher, and Jessica Jones, but that is 100% not even close to enough.

Also didn't he already lose his powers? Wasn't that a subplot already? As an episode for the third season of a show that is part of a giant universe shockingly little happened, it was a rebooted origin story for Murdock mixed with a series of subplots that I wasn't sure I was supposed to understand.

1st episode is kind of boring, it gets much better tho.

Foggy wasn't annoying this season

He never really had powers beyond super acute senses.

And part of the reason they didn't tie into other Marvel universes is because they all sucked except for Daredevil. They did the smart thing and went with what worked the first season.

Ep 1 ties into the ending of The Defenders where a highrise collapses on him and Elektra and he's presumed to be dead

I don't remember them recapping that and it would a have been easy to do a quick recap for people who hadn't watched The Defenders
