Pretty, pretty meh. Felt like it was trying too hard at parts and it all felt a little played out, which I've never once thought while watching the show before. Whoever played Numa wasn't a very good actress.

it was fine. it has been pretty meh for years, don't act like this is anything new. luckily any time leon is onscreen it's tv gold. marty's line about the bird saying 'seinfeld! seinfeld!' was good.

Even though I agree that most of LD's setups are played out - this is still hilarious.

LD + JB = supreme comedy gold once again.

The most surprising thing to me was changing their 2-camera reality-esque format to a more professional/standard look.

episode felt weird like it wasn't a real curb episode more like an imitation.

saw it described on another forum as it feeling like 'curb: the movie', which seems about right. there were quite a few un-curblike camera shots

Agree on Leon - the first time he came on screen it was like wow, he looks completely out of place in that get up now. But then he opened his mouth, and it was the same magic.

first half was sort of embarrassingly bad i thought, kinda felt a little awkward watching it

but i thought it reached its groove in the back half and i'm optimistic about the season

I thought first episode was way too forced. None of the Larryisms flowed as naturally as in the past and all felt more contirived.

That's why I have a hard time watching the new season, as a die hard Curb fan. It just feels off to me. It's a new show now in a different universe and I don't like it. Everything feels so fake.

to be honest, curb in widescreen feels off to me.

these ‘everything is so forced now compared to the past’ comments are hilarious. the lefty call was ten years ago guys.
