thought it was really weird & bad
show has been trending this way for a while now, like Seinfeld did ... it's somewhat natural

i really fear for this season

I thought this episode was a huge upgrade on the season premiere. Sequence with Leon and his friend insistently ****ing with Larry's phone call had me losing it.

Second episode definitely better than the first and good enough that I'm less afraid this season is going to mostly suck compared to previous seasons.

First episode was weird af. I cringed when Larry dropped the "pretty, pretayyy, pretty good" line.

Second episode was totally fine imo. Not an all-timer but good enough to assure me that this season will find it's rhythm at some point.

First 20 minutes of E2 were really bad - last ten were vintage Curb and great. I think we all figured we'd be getting something more "worth" the hiatus, but even if measured by out lofty expectations it should still be able to deliver in parts and I'm okay with that.

Ep2 was incredible. Have had same thought about hooker clothes and tongs before.

I never use the tongs. Not hard to take one item and not touch anything else.

Episode 3 was hit or miss for me, needed to shave off like 10 minutes imo. It seems like the show needs someone to keep Larry on a leash from letting jokes go on for too long

Still some funny stuff and i laughed a lot but think more editing/ direction would go a long way to make things tighter

I was okay with episode 1 and thought that episode 2 was great, but episode 3 was kind of a disaster IMO. Painfully unfunny at times.

3 was great with the salman rushdie stuff - especially larry learning about the fakwa excuses he could now use. the court scene and disturbance bit not so much. sa

the episodes bring stuff up - like the mumbling about the black dude, but then don't fit it into the story in classic curb style

I'd say 1=2<3 so far

Cool. I'd heard of this story before but didn't know there was a documentary about it.

This season has been a huge miss for me so far. So much so that I want to go back and watch some of the less regarded episodes from past seasons and see how they stack up. Maybe my issue is that my expectations were way too high because Ive only rewatched the ones I love over the past few years.

Anyone else finding Leon borderline cringey? Some bits are funny, some feel like they're written by a white guy who's never actually met a black guy IRL.

First episode was good. Second was not as good...but with the third they picked up a lot of steam. Have great faith in the rest of the new season. Larry David is a genius and the proof is in the pudding, as they say.
