Curb Your Enthusiasm: Season 8 Curb Your Enthusiasm: Season 8

Lewis' angry face is one of the best parts of this show. Kudos to Larry and the writers for not overusing this and getting a lot of mileage from it. I've seen Richard Lewis for what seems like my entire life (I'm 36 and remember his sitcom with Jamie Lee Curtis) and I never thought he was funny for even a split second until his work on Curb.

i am really surprised how many people forgot about lewis. i pretty much suck at following tv and movies and never came close to forgetting that would be the final scene. still laughed of course, love richard.

real solid episode - the parking stuff wasnt great.

rewatching eps. the first chat and cut you can hear them in the back round. he says i dont recognize you and shes trying to figure out where they met. i love when larry is listening to someone and doesnt care at all what they are saying. uh ah. uh yeah. he is becoming such a great actor.

the first chat with that director is great. when he says maybe next year and larry doesnt respond.

The buffet chat & cut made me think of other buffet etiquette. Suppose you're already at the row of food, plate in hand. There's usually a chokepoint by the main course choices, and more spacing the rest of the way. If you're not interested in any of those mains, is it OK to skip that section and step in further down? How about skipping over someone who's particularly slow or indecisive? I've done both but feel like most people stay in line regardless.
wow how could you not like the flashback? the jeff smirk while larry says pinkberry. then the amazing slo mo??? it was great

top 5 episode ever IMO. no boring scenes, jus goes from one great scene to the next, the chat cut, to larry pretending to be interested in the charity thing. Larry going to NY just to not get caught in a lie ranks up there with Mel Brooks casting larry jus to ruin the show as one of the top plot lines ever

They did manage to make it funny but it's still bad storytelling. And think, if they had scrapped the flashback we could've seen more of the "Do you need a hose? What? A helicopter ride?" riff.

For people anticipating Leon withdrawal, HBO on Demand is currently carrying the two-word solution: Pootie Tang.

why is it bad storytelling? you seem to be assuming it was included as a story-telling mechanism. it seems way way more likely it was included to get laughs, and it succeeded.

It's so over the top that now I'm thinking they might be intently making fun of the stupid convention, and I wasn't giving the writers enough credit.

Idk I thought the flashback and his face while eating the ice cream was hilarious and well timed. Nittery itt. Chat and cut scene(the first one) was gold imo, a larry davidism at its finest. Also, I can see that lewis gif being used ALL over this forum in a ton of spots.

Re-watched today and laughed at Jeff and Larry going on about how Pinkberry is Korean owned and they're celebrating Tet. OBVIOUSLY Susie hasn't watched "Full Metal Jacket."

totally agree. hahah

Vance waves, and then mime shouts twice at Larry while he is walking away after he leaves the note.

So good.

I thought it was great. Didn't see the ending coming at all. I kept thinking every shoelace mention would be the last one.
