Curb Your Enthusiasm - Season 10 Curb Your Enthusiasm - Season 10

The daughter "actress" is great imo, even in otherwise weaker episodes.

Overall I think it's a step up from S9/10 so far. Doubt we will ever reach the heights of S6/7 but glad to have it on!

I would have punched the host at katsuya right in his ***** ass face.

but that whole plot line is a perfect example of them just trying way too hard n making up **** that wouldn't happen in a billion years.

esp not at a Japanese restaurant.
I've been to probably a million sushi restaurants in my life and every single one has had just the friendliest employees ever.

Haven't had HBO in years, but Dish gave me a free weekend. Watched a few CYE episodes.

Was never a huge fan, but enjoyed it. Kinda where I think rbk is, that **** would never happen in a million years, but it's still amusing.

Going in, was thinking how I'd miss the old Funkhauser character since Bob Einstein died. No idea who Vince Vaughn's character was until someone referred to him as "Funkhauser". Pretty good character, enjoyed that.

Overall, I'd say that I was glad to see some episodes again, but not going to reenroll for HBO to make sure I see them all.

Jeff Garlin Exits ‘The Goldbergs’ Amid HR Investigation Into On-Set Misconduct

"Three former Goldbergs employees previously told VF that the actor allegedly “engaged in a pattern of verbal and physical conduct on set that made people uncomfortable.” Sources added that Garlin would often touch or hug people regardless of whether they were comfortable with being touched by him."

"According to Deadline, several anonymous current and former employees reached out about Garlin’s on set behavior after the VF piece was published, calling him “extremely verbally and emotionally abusive,” and noting an instance in which he allegedly screamed at a stand-in for getting in his way after an on-set rehearsal."

"Garlin is also currently a cast member and executive producer on Curb Your Enthusiasm, although it’s unclear whether the actor’s termination from The Goldbergs will have any impact on his role in the HBO comedy."

Is it just me or is Vince Vaughn completely useless on this show?

Imo he's incredibly overrated in general, I've never understood the appeal.

We've now got legal sports betting here, so there are frequent ads for Caesars. JB Smoove plays the part of Caesar in those ads.

Of course, he can't do Leon in that sort of ad, but in my head he does, and they're much better.

I agree - bafflingly miscast. That having been said, the exchange between him and Larry about the last Perrier this season was pretty funny IMO.

yeah I wasn't really loving Bill Hader either, but the closing bit was good

Thought e9 as pretty weak, expected to laugh at the Hader stuff but didn't once. Was just like a wacky plot that had no real purpose.

Feel like the pieces are in place for a good finale though

Really weak E9. Between that and E2 & E3 the season has had too many lowlights to be redeemable based on usual standards, barring a truly epic finale of course.

That's what people thought of Marty Funkhauser's character too until they finally got it. I think Vince did a great job.

Overall, this 11th season was not so great though. I loved the KKK episode, but aside from that not too memorable. Tracey Ulman's performance was so good and on point that it makes you want to fast forward through her scenes.

I think this show has run its course. Put a fork in it.

Another rather forgettable season as has been the case with every season after the long break between 2011-2017. What annoys me about these most recent seasons is that Larry can never "win". In every single situation, instead of fixing things, he seems to take the path of most resistance which then blows up in his face. In real world, if Larry got blackmailed by some fry cook because his brother died on Larry's property while committing a B&E, Larry would immediately hire a top-shelf civil attorney and come down like a ton of bricks on his accuser. Instead we get some convoluted plan that basically jettisons his show and hinges completely on seducing a councilwoman.

The cast is aging big time too. Thinking back on successful shows with older casts, logically the first show to come to mind was The Golden Girls. However, when Golden Girls ended, Betty White and Bea Arthur, the two oldest on the show, were 70 years old. Larry David is 74. Richard Lewis is 74 going on 100. Ted Dansen is 73. Hell, Cheryl Hines is a few years older than Blanche (when the show started) while Susie is older than all 4 Golden Girl actresses at the time that show first aired. Of course, Bob Einstein already passed at 76 years old.

BTW, I found it hysterically ironic that they did the Jeff mistaken for Harvey Weinstein bit, and now he's in some hot water in real life.

I was slightly disappointed. the shoe thing was in poor taste and once he left them there very predictable.

the kkk episode is top 10 of all time but it was a disappointing season overall

Yeah - they tied things up pretty well given how convoluted all of it had become. Below average season overall, but the finale was far from the train wreck it could've been.

The most annoying thing about that plot is that changing the fence law after the fact wouldn't change Larry's legal position one bit. That's determined by the law at the time of the incident. Or at least that is what I would assume. Not a lawbro. I'd be very surprised if changing the law afterwards would change anything. That doesn't make any sense at all.

Yeah, it didn't make much sense at all. Plus it's an ordinance not a law but they kept referring to it as a law throughout. Honestly the whole fence around the pool thing was worthy of a 5 minute joke at most. It's definitely not something you should build an entire season around. I give them a 2 out of 10 for creativity on that one.
