Great article on the actor/comic who plays Leon. I definitely agree that he might be scene-for-scene one of the funniest tv characters. I knew that a bunch is ad libbed but to think that he’s doing every scene basically blind is pretty amazing.

Leon is just on fire this season, even though it was weeks ago I’m still laughing at:

“Yo Larry do anchovies just go on pizza? Or can you eat em loose”

The opening was pretty damn great. Christopher Guest-quality mockumentary stuff. That interveiw exchange was excellent, and both Jonah Hill and Sean Penn killed it.

The finale was probably the weakest episode of the season.

for me it was one of my favorite episodes as it felt more laid back not so choreographed and not as forced.

Loved the episode but hated the ending. **** Mocha Joe.

Solid B mayyyyybe B+ Curb season which is damn good tv in my book. Much needed with how grim things are these days.

Worst season ainec imo, surpassing s5.

Wow, that was a tiny role for Reid Scott. Either we'll see more of him during the season or that was a definite case of a step down in one's career.

I have to assume the lack of posts means others feel similar to me in that the current season has been pretty, pretty, pretty bad so far. I'd say E2 and E3 might rank in the ten worst episodes of all time for me. It's just been flat and the usually seamlessly interwoven plot lines either seem stitched together or are way too contrived even for this show. Let's hope things improve.

show feels way less spontaneous/improvised and they're trying too hard to come up with ridic unrealistic conflicts.

one thing that was great about curb was how so many of the things they would blow up into big arguments were realistic things that bug so many of us but we'd never really complain about (Susie making the ahhhh sounds when drinking the wife of his friend saying LOL etc) now they're just making up super outrageous ridic **** that would never happen in a million years and combined with the very scripted feel it's just lost so much of the curb magic.

I had such high hopes after the 1st episode and I'll keep watching cuz I can't ever quit larry, but the last few episodes have been super disappointing.

I really would love to know why they switched from single camera.

I think it was a solid episode that felt better than it was in comparison to what we'd seen the past two. Not top of its game Curb, but very solid. The gun line was just so perfect.
