That episode was ok, the last scene was funny.
Cheryl Hines was in the last episode of The Conners, yes I watch that for some reason, its a slow night and its ok.

really miss the old single cam doc style.

also in the past the situations were a lot more small things that were just a little bit unrealistic but just slight over reactions etc n now it's a string of stuff where ppl act insanely unrealistic and the situations are completely and totally far-fetched.

perfect examples are larry stealing flowers from road side memorial n his cousin ordering the shallots well done to screw them from getting on the course before the slow group and they made those situations so hilarious and u didn't just roll your eyes and go this is just so stupid no one would ever do this in a million years.

the stuff in ep 3 was just so dumb and it's also waaaay more scripted and totally has lost the improvised feel.

it really felt like a network sitcom for the 1st time ever last night.

first time I've ever been truly disappointed with a curb ep.

even when they did the EP where he dates 2 diff women in wheelchairs they still made that feel realistic and natural and u were just watching a real day in Larry's life they have lost that completely and are just kindv following the familiar bits like Susie yelling at Larry but now it's totally unnatural and forced.

Agreed. But the show has been going in this direction for the past few seasons. This one was a bit more wacky antics-y but not by much imo.

It's like the show got dunked in a bucket of Seinfeld.

Another vote for the episode being just fine. Uproarious? No, but plenty enjoyable. Yes, the fruit and tooth stuff was a bit strained, but otherwise it delivered overall. Sad to hear them refer to Funkhouser.

The episode was funny, but predictable. Leon was great. I will also note that I said 163lbs out loud before the carny did.

Damn just caught up here. I laughed the most at E3 of any of them. Agree it was a little more over the top than usual, but it worked for me.

E4 felt a lot more uneven to me. I hope we get more/better payoff to Ted discovering the affair than just a wedding ceremony tackle.

E4 was pretty, pretty, pretty good IMO. I'm usually not a big fan of Leon but I thought his stuff was great this episode, and the interactions between Larry and the hotel clerk were just flat out hilarious.

SuperDave taking some of Richard Lewis's airtime would have been a mitzvah.

Spoiler:
I don't know Hebrew. Neither did Funkhouser.

Yeah, it was quite meh. Yet another episode where it felt like the core ideas had promise but the execution failed big time. This season just feels rather creatively lazy to me.

If you're loving this season, great, and I'm not going to try to change your mind, but to me it's felt like episode one was great, episode four was okay, and the rest have ranged from quite below average to absolutely terrible rated against the quality of an average episode over the show's lifespan.

Underusing Vince Vaughn too, who is considered a GOAT improv actor. Also it's weird that Vince Vaughn is playing a character and not himself, seeing as how he's arguably more famous than Clive Owen.

I would guess it's because they are going to have vince play that character over several episodes and it would be a lot harder to figure out a way to have vince play himself and have an arc over multiple episodes without it having to be a major part of the plot.
