I guess compared to the main character she’s hot but to me she’s meh as hell. Not sure what those comics were talking about. Ali is so much hotter.

Ya I know way to many degenerates, she's just the normal run of the mill crazy to me. Get her addicted to speedballs and you really got something special there.

Noooo, why cancel it now when it's actually good? I would have understood canceling after the first season which actually sucked.

I liked season 1 so I dunno. I think it got better each season though.

If you didnít like season 1, I think you probably wouldnít like the other seasons much either since itís been pretty consistently not great but as you put it, fine, through its run. I thought s1 was superior to season 3, but thought S2 was probably the best.

Disappointed it got canceled because itís a nice light entertaining watch and would have been interested to see more standup cameos and some storylines with Pete becoming legit successful. A movie or Gervais style epilogue would be a good way to wrap up the series.

Re: Crashing (Apatow-produced HBO show)

The problem with this show is that Pete Holmes just isn't very funny. I think I could name 15+ comedians I'd rather this have been about. It's like someone mentioned early in this thread, Birbiglia would've been proper.

Thatís one of the interesting things about fictional characters, you actually have to tone them down to be believable. I know a dozen chicks 100x crazier than Kat but they wouldnít be believable as a fictional character.
well crap, I have no idea who you're talking about...that's not a good sign lol

That actually worked really well as a series finale. Very nice.

Re: Crashing (Apatow-produced HBO show)

ya I wonder how much they rewrote the episode when they found out it was gonna be the last one cuz it really was a perfect finale.

ironically if the rest of the show was as funny as the finale it wouldn't have been cancelled.

his set opening for mulraney was ****ing hilarious, funniest ive ever seen him be ever.

I'm also a big mulraney fan.

I wasn't that broken up when I heard it was cancelled but after that episode and seeing what they're capable of I'm a lot more bummed.

Wow, what a great episode...what a shame it's the last. Everything about that was perfect.

Co-sign that it was a good episode and a fitting and satisfying conclusion to the show.

I still stand by the show having gotten better over time, and this was the first season that was consistently solid throughout, and had really found its voice. Oh well. RIP. Gone too soon.

Re: Crashing (Apatow-produced HBO show)

The chance of this show being picked up by another network seems close to 0.

Does HBO have an exclusive right to any show that it cancels? I know Brooklyn 99 and Last Man Standing have moved networks, but nobody is talking about that with Crashing. Seems like Netflix would love more stand up comedy related content.

Re: Crashing (Apatow-produced HBO show)

Judd said a movie is possible but that’s about it.

There are a few shows on hbo I wish weren’t cancelled so early, life and times of Tim and flight of the concords were hilarious. I’d assume a show like 6 feet under and that western show a ton of people love was cancelled too soon.

Enlightened and Rome were also great shows that were cancelled early.

Re: Crashing (Apatow-produced HBO show)

Out of the shows I was actively watching while this season aired, this might have been the one I most looked forward to watching each week — probably Crashing, You’re the Worst or Brooklyn. That might just be a comment on the lack of top shows airing now. But great finale, and it’s disappointing that it’s canceled but the series did get to show a full arc.

Re: Crashing (Apatow-produced HBO show)

Probably because it's such a small niche show....but that shouldn't matter to HBO so much...maybe if it gets nominated for a some Emmys, or something.

Agree with all of these picks. Tim was brilliant I thought, but it's not even on HBOGo anymore.

I don't actually think that six feet under was cancelled. It got five seasons, pretty good run.
