Just do the show around Sarah Silverman and her band of revolving broke comics that crash on her couch. I’d watch that.

Yea but some semblance of story. The problem with the show is its just Pete wandering around with no direction. Its television...it needs to have a plot and a loose overall arc.

I was entertained by the Bill Burr episode but they missed like 10 opportunities to have a plot. The worst was the Jezebel story. Pete was worried for like 0.5 seconds that Burr was mad and the tension was immediately released when he forgave him. It would've been hilarious if Pete was unclear in various situations if Bill Burr was mad at him. The issue is that the show is written by Holmes and Greg Fitzsimmons. 2 comedians who don't know **** about TV writing. You need the combination of joke guys and actual writers to write a comedy. Otherwise you get Crashing. A show with no story and tons of missed opportunities.

--Also Leaf. WTF they made this guy seem pretty normal in situations where its abundantly clear they should be exaggerating his actions/musings for comedic effect. There were a couple times where I was thinking "oh what a nice thoughtful guy" instead of "this guy is REALLY OUT THERE LOL". Show is amateur hour for sure.

Apatow co-wrote season2 episodes 1-2 which were definitely much stronger writing-wise. Cbf to check what (if any) he co-wrote of the s1 eps, but I agree with what you said and the show could really use Apatow's pen. Bill Burr ep would've been pretty bad if BB wasn't so amazing, but I think 1-2 were both actually good.

Enjoyed ep4 as well, it's again pretty much all the show needs to be

Idk about airdates but it's been on HBO streaming services for a couple of days now apparently because of the Super Bowl. I'm a euro so no idea about when it actually gets aired, new episodes drop every Sunday for us here except they announced that this week's would drop on Thursday because of SB. So idk I would assume they would also have aired it already?

I thought ep4 was quite good, and the show is really rounding out. It still could be improved in a bunch of ways, but all in all it is an enjoyable watch.

Everything that wasn't him/his ex storyline was really good. That **** needs to just be axed.

I really like this show and I can't stand lot of tv these days. If you don't like this show then you just don't vibe with the lead guy whose name escapes me lol. He's funny and is really not feminine but not masculine and is funny in that way. I can see why people aren't into him but the show is pretty awesome and a lot more then just the funnies. It has a realness of the grind of being a newb comedian other then the endless stars he hangs out with.

After listening to a ton of comedian podcasts, this is a pretty good representation of the comedians grind that is "made for tv" of course. I find the type of stories I've been hearing for years being fleshed out in a tv show really interesting. It's more then just comedy, it's kinda the history of many comics which is epic for a comedy geek like me.

You know he's pathetic when the one person who likes him can't even remember his name.

This show is so weird. I like Pete as a comic but not as a character.

Somehow it's already the season finale tonight? Feels like it only just started. It's been a really solid season tho, biggest surprise of the TV year to me so far for sure

This show went from pretty much sucking S1 to being much more cohesive and strong. Good to great ending to the season. Crashing will no in way be in my top 10 shows for the year, but I am happy to see the turnaround. Hopefully it continues upward in S3

So only 8 eps? Seems pretty weak. I watched 7 of them in one night lol, just felt like one long ep.

Good final episode...I agreed with both Ally and Pete, though...do your job, but dammit, you’re my GF and there needs to be a trust and “you and me” thought, you know?

Pete should’ve turned to roast around and instead of insulting Ally, just keep smiling sweetly and saying wonderful things about her. It would’ve both disarmed Ally and the judges, and got laughs.

The roast jokes were good and the ep was good until the end which I didn't get at all. What am I missing? What is the place where Pete went? His hometown or something? Why was he performing at some school cafeteria? Wtf?

I assume it must have something to do with something that happened on s1 but it was such a bad season that my mind seems to have erased all memories of what happened during it.

I liked Holmes' girlfriend, good character and she was also kinda hawt. I really hope that this wasn't the last we see of her.

Would certainly watch s3, this was a strong season and the show is bound to get more interesting when Pete gradually becomes bigger.

Pretty sure it's the bull**** he got signed for at that college conference where he sold out and his GF at the time bombed at. Basically showing his life moved on and his life on the comic circuit at colleges can be god awful. Despite that and despite the fact that the set and location weren't ideal, he was dying to be on stage and dying for a laugh.

First season wasn't bad.

After 1.5 episodes this season, I just hit fast-forward looking for Bill Burr, and pulled the plug after he signed off.

Penn Jillette was cool, though.
