Couldn't see a thread on this but surely it deserves one.

New show with JK Simmons as the lead where he plays 2 versions of himself and is great. Getting rave reviews, 100% on RT. Watched the first ep which was released early and I'm definitely keen to see where it goes.
Read this if you're keen to know about the show and the pilot, contains spoilers

If it delivers on half of what it's promising this is going to be one hell of a show.

I liked it, although the last 10 minutes or so made me concerned this show will have ton of filler content.

Simmons is brilliant how he plays the meek and submissive clerk, as well as the Type-A bad-ass. Totally opposite characters but does both very well.

"Which one are you?"
"**** off!"

Scheduling episode two 18 days later is cruel and unusual punishment.

These producers live in our duplicate world where after a hit pilot you crush the souls of your viewers with waiting.

Was pretty dope. Deciding how much I like the violinist girl as an actress. So far undecided. But show still delivering.

Simmons range is as good as anyone. I love when he plays the hard ass. Vern Schillinger one of my all time favorite characters.

Watched episode 1, totally hooked.

"Hey, production team, can you guys do, like, a Cold-War era Berlin espionage vibe, but set in, like, two different present day alternative realities?"

"Yeah, sure. We can knock that **** out of the ****ing park."

This show is awesome!
Not sure what the protocol is, but I'll spoiler this just in case:
Spoiler:
Im really curious which direction they go with the assassin chick giving herself up and getting captured by police so quickly. That kind of surprised me.

I doubt they do something dumb like have her escape on her own, but feels like they almost have to have people at the OI free her. Unless they introduce another major character or two I guess.

The ep has already aired. So you're not spoiling anything. People entering a thread about a show that is already airing should expect to see discussion about the eps that have already aired.

And your prediction of what you think might happen in future, is not a spoiler either.

I'm on the fence now after ep2. JK is awesome in it, but the shows premise about a duplicate Berlin suddenly being created out of thin air, with alter-egos of people from the original Berlin, is not doing it for me.

Premise is great but episode #2 seems a bit early to do a character study of faceless hot young assassin as opposed to, you know, plot.

The assassin being sent to kill her other self to keep from getting tracked down on her side was part of the plot.

Is it really only Berlin and not the whole world thats been duplicated?

I thought there "base" was there just because it was there the duplication happened.

The acting as said is super solid, JK is killing it and hopefully we see more from what seems like the second man in charge Aldrich (Ulrich Thomsen who is awesome as Kai in Banshee).

Pretty sure the entire universe was duplicated.

I think the base (Office of Interchange) is there because that's where the entrance to the other side is located - The Crossing

I wonder if it will turn out that things closer to the crossing are more different than those away from it
