This is like the Avengers. So pumped for the season.

So much nostalgia with all these faces. A little depressing seeing how some of them just turned into middle aged people from the hot 20yr olds that my brain left them in. Makes you think of how long this show has been going on.

Rooting for Tony all then the <20 season players.

Hoping eoe and 'fire tokens' does not waste too much of the run time.

Also worried some of my favorites like Sophie and Danni will end up with purple edits with Tony, Boston Rob and Sandra dominating the screen.

Will be interested to see who falls into the 'goat role'. Can picture a scenario where somebody like a Wendell or Jeremy strings Tony along to the end who ends up getting 0 votes.

If Tony makes the end, there’s almost no way he gets 0 votes.

A goat would be someone who no one respects like Ben or a young person with no wife or kids like Adam or Nick

I'm more just imagining if Tony ended up losing the jury's respect by playing an off the wall Russel Hantz Heroes vs Villains esc sort of game.

Have Ben, Adam and Nick down in my head as potential pre merge boots for not being 'meat shield' enough compared to the 7 other men

some friends of mine have done a draft almost every season for most of the last decade or so, and the only times I had the winner were Michelle Fitz and Sarah the criminal

so I'm rooting for them

and Tyson of course, he's hilarious

looking forward to seeing Danni and Kim play again too
hope Tony speaks some llama while we're at it

So stoked for this. Judging from the preview I watched, is it men vs. women at the beginning?

I'd forgotten some of the names of recent winners like Wendell and Adam.

Predictions for who goes far? Nick. Tyson. Can't wait to see how Kim plays this time around. Natalie is a dark horse I think.

In theory, yes, but with so many twists and added wrinkles. I kind of agree with Sandra's thoughts from a TVLine interview (quoted in The Ringer article):

I don’t understand why we have so many idols. After you find an idol, that should be it. I hate the idol nullifier. When I played my first time, there was no such thing as idols. You made sure you went to tribal council with your torch lit and you left with your torch lit. You didn’t spend the whole day looking for idols because that’s your only saving grace. You figured it out. My mouth is my saving grace, the relationships and bonds I build are my saving grace. Not digging and climbing trees and looking under rocks, none of that.

My level of excitement would be at least double if it was KISS Survivor. I just think all the bells and whistles will lead to a let down, if not overall than at least here and there, which in turn will leave a bad taste in our mouths.

But hey, just my opinion. I can see how others would disagree.

I like a single idol or something that doesn't turn into idol hunt.

From a gameplay perspective, yes. But I think the producers have realized that idols make for better TV.
