Given how well the first one did, I hope they found a way to get Elizabeth Shue back for season 2.

Gender what? Is this a prank call?

Lol 2 episodes in, its as good as the first season. The 30min episodes really feel like 10min, never had that in a show. I probably binged it all day after tomorrow.

Season 1 was better. But still super solid.
Pity Ralph matchio sux a bit and Robbie's actor is absolutely nothing but a pretty face.
Worth paying 1 month to binge it.

Too much teenager love triangles and not enough Zabka. He's an elite actor.

Yeah, the triangle **** was too much in the couple of eps. It was almost worth most of it for that epic battle at the end. I did not expect them to go that dark though. He should be pretty much dead, but he’ll probably be using and running, and defend his title in season 3.

the problem with seasons when they are dumped all at once is it's scary to open any threads about them. i'm halfway through. decent so far.

It's frustrating how Lawrence wants to do the right thing but Larusso just assumes he's terrible and treats him like crap. With his hard personality, Lawrence won't put up with it and reacts in a manner that portrays the way Larusso thinks he is. If they just talked like dudes for a sec, they could figure it out. I hope this season ends with them uniting against Kreese.

Still an awesome show. In the end not as good as S1, to much focus on to many kids instead of Johnny and Larusso.

Excited for S3!

Season 2 is good when it's good and corny as heck the rest of the time. John Kreese interviewed terribly leading up to the season but was a pleasant surprise once it got rolling. Blond kid is a terrible actor and his karate looks so stiff and awkward.

The worst moments are what I like to call "sitcom fights" - a fake conflict between two characters caused solely by a misunderstanding that could be solved with 5 seconds of honest conversation. "Oh I'm going to get angry now and then rush out of this scene without giving you a chance to explain" isn't interesting or suspenseful but super common in bad sitcoms and children's tv.

very good show but very frustrating. so many conflicts could be resolved if they openly talked for 5 seconds rather than just resorting to karate right off the start.

not sure what direction season 3 will go.

Such a weird role. I know him from the tv show Kingdom (mma), he was also a pretty weird guy there.

I think we will get this next season.

Spoiler:
I'm not sure what kind of role Johnny's son is going to play now in all this after almost murdering another student with his karate.

I really enjoy the overall product and it seems like it would be difficult to make a series out of this but they seem to keep it going decently well. Even the corny stuff is appreciated if you grew up watching the originals including many of the "B" rated type movies that came out during the time period in the eighties. They do a decent enough job with the drama side of things as well too. The way the handle the "grey" area being right and wrong is great and I'm glad they didn't just copy the originals by just making it a story about "good vs bad". Even Kreese's character while vengeful and a bit manipulative seems to actually believe that teaching his student's "No Mercy" is teaching them a life lesson in battle and confrontation.

Hope they bring back Terry Silver next season and we get some of his cornyness added to the mix of Cobra Kai.

I just finished binging season 2 and it was pretty good. It didn't feel as new as season 1 obviously, but that was to be expected. There were some moments where it felt a little bit of "jumping the shark", but the final episode was amazing. It just sucks now having to wait another year for a 3rd season.

I would imagine that Johnny's son is going to be living with Johnny now, and their relationship will be a big part of S3. Miguel will get better and start training with Daniel. Through the kids, Johnny and Daniel will learn that bringing their two styles together is the only way to beat Cobra Kai.

I hear season 3 is done and ready to air but YouTube wants to get out of the biz and sell the show (and earlier seasons). Sucks that we have to wait cause of these kinds of issues.

I d be really surprised YouTube sell the show. If I had to guess it's more likely they wait for translators to do a worldwide release. Netflix have that issue with covid.

The 1st 2 seasons will be on Netflix this Friday the 28th. Will probably re-watch them since there has been nothing any good on TV lately.
