Stephen King universe comes together in one show on Hulu. It’s awesome and deserves its own thread.

I’m through the first 5 and I’m hooked. The first episode drew me in, but then the next two went in a different direction from what I expected. 4 and 5 were both great and I’ve heard episode 7 is the best yet.

Episode 7 - The Queen. An incredible hour of television. This may be the best show on TV right now.

Ep 7 of Castle Rock was a masterpiece of editing and virtuoso acting by Sissy Spacek as she plays an older women who knows she is experiencing memory dysfunction, seeing herself in past scenes of her life, while trying to outwit a villain. I'm not a big fan of the show (its passable), but the quality of episode 7 was A plus. Somebody deserves an award for that one.

I’m a big fan so far. It kind of reminds me of The Leftovers in that I have no idea what’s going on, but I’m enjoying the hell out of it.

Just got caught up on this show, and in addition to everything else, I gotta give props to the musical director or whoever else is responsible for digging up tracks like this to use:

Good point
Ep 7 and 8 were very good. Ep 9 came out of nowhere to radically complicate an already unclear storyline. It is getting "Twin Peaks"-ish , yes, including body doubles. Maybe, centuries ago, a New England witch cursed the town? I dunno.
(I didnt read the book btw)

There isn't a book. It's sort of a remix of Stephen King's characters and locations, but it's an original story and not written by him.

Good. No book.
The funny thing is that this is one of the better Stephen King adaptations.

I wasn't crazy about the finale, but it was a really good season.

They stayed true to King's body of work and made the ending kinda meh.

finale was pretty meh. think they wanted to keep options open for a season 2...

Also what was that scene when the kid looked up and he looked like a demon for a second. anyone got that?
