Last shot of Breaking Bad should be Walt alone in a hospital bed then fade to black and we hear the beep beep beep of his heart monitor on top of the final credits

^^^ that would be cool. After losing everything he loves, LDO.

It was crazy that so many people didn't like "Fly" the first time.

Friend of mine has just started watching the show - he's got up to 'One Minute' in the space of about ten days. It's so much fun to relive all the great episodes with someone experiencing them for the first time.

I've done this 5 times and its been great each time. It's usually texts and FB messages of excitement until Half-Measures. Then it's a phone call starting with "HOLY ****!!" I got one of those at 1:00AM and I wasn't even mad.

I'll be psycho-marathoning it the week of. This is tempting though.

I'm weird in that I don't like rewatching any shows I really like too early to savour up the experience, but with the soon-to-be GOAT show I've already gone for seconds, thirds, and can definitely go for a fourth round.

Only read a couple of questions bus this made me lol

You may not remember, but late last summer you went to a popular restaurant in Culver City (the one with the outside seating that’s first-come, first-serve). You pleasantly asked if you could sit at our table since there were no other seats left, and we happily obliged. After glancing at you about five times, I realized who you were. Having just completed a marathon of Breaking Bad’s entire run, I awkwardly asked if I could shake your hand, and you did!
Then my husband told you that he’s been trying to get his big brother (also sitting with us) to watch your show for months, and that he still hadn’t.
Then you said, in a menacing, methodical voice (aka Heisenberg), “Your brother’s a pussy.”
We were giddy for the next week straight. Actually, we’ve been giddy ever since and have renamed the restaurant The Bryan Cranston Experience. Aside from our wedding, I believe it stands as the greatest moment of our married life. To this day, we tell the story to anyone who will hear it. We should probably stop.
So no question, just wanted you to know how much you rock!

Did your brother finally start watching the show or does he still have a vagina?
Edit: not that having a vagina is a bad thing. It just needs to be with the appropriate person.

Is it possible to rewatch this show and only watch it one at a time? I rewatch the series before every season and it only ever takes me a couple days.

What's the funniest thing that's happened on set in your career?

thebryancranston 3345 points 19 hours ago

There was a guy who was hit by a crane and killed instantly. I couldn't stop laughing.
lol

3 possibilities

-Bryan cranston is a bit crazy
-Bryan cranston is working on something involving cranes
-Some **** involving a crane is going to go down in S6

Someone should ask him if he can let slip what Walt Jr. will be having for breakfast in the next few episodes.

damn this show is so good.

those S1 eps were way better than i remember (my recollection was that they were kinda weak). outside of the pilot which is a little rough in spots, it's real quality. forgot that Walt turned Jesse into a perfection wrt cooking so early in the series, like ep 4 or something. also Walt's PRIDE and refusal to take the charity for his treatment and BREAKING BAD (including the mini-arc where Walt decides the fate of Krazy 8) was really well done actually.

looks like they're doing the 5 eps on Friday thing until the series restarts again in the fall, good times.

Totally agree. S1 and S2 get highly underrated in OOTV when compared to the rest of the series.

also Walt is such a selfish, self-centered prick, that's established very early on.

and from even very early on in the series, the cinematography seems top notch. i mean, i don't know what they're doing technically or anything, but based on what i see, it's just amazing. this show just has so many great shots it's incredible, just LOOKS so much better than most everything on TV, like movie quality.

It's not only the framing of the shots, but the content. Supposedly Gilligan will have, Marie for example, go through five different purple blouses only to have her go back to the first one. The eye for color in this show is like no other. I think it's a huge part of what give the show that slightly cartoonish feel and allows you to more easily employ a suspension of disbelief. I always said that the show felt a bit like Grand Theft Auto, in that the presentation is just far enough on that side of realistic so that the magnet truck or, hell, Madrigal Electromotive doesn't feel out of place.

yeah the use of colour is A+++

S1 is fantastic, S2 is even better. But S3 and S4 stand clearly above it imo. For very different reasons though. I recently rewatched S4 and S4 is really very much about action and tension once it gets going, while S1-3 (esp 1-2) is more like a classic drama that is much more character driven. Haven't rewatched S5 yet, I am really curious how S5 would do on a rewatch. When I try to relive the season in my head I will probably find it either the "weakest" or second "weakest", but obv ain't sure. So far deff 4~=3>2>1 though.

I don't really think 5a can be judged as a complete season. There are people who say it's the weakest, but I think if you took the first half of S3 or S4 it wouldn't be the greatest either. I have full faith that the last 16 episodes, when viewed as a whole, will be the show's best season.

It's a bit (at times, very) over-graded but I prefer that to under-graded.
