When Walt arrives at the place where Mike eventually dies he takes something from MIke, I was on a ****ty stream so couldn't make it out but it looked like a big ass hand gun, desert eagle or something.

Walt: "Mike left the country, and he's never coming back."
Jesse: "Cool."

(Yes, I know Walt has to get rid of the body, but Todd will help.)

i'm interested to see if walt will tell jesse that he killed mike at any point, doesn't seem completely out of the question

I'm guessing when Walt starts killing Mike's men Jesse will have strong suspicions that Mike is dead as well.

I love how this show just bangs the pace. They easily could have built to the confrontation with the other meth guys as the end, but instead you knock that out before the first commercial and build tons of tension on top of that.

I have not verified this even a little bit; I merely saw it on Twitter, and I'm hoping someone who recorded the episode can confirm/deny. I'm sure it'll get mentioned in someone's recap this week if it's true, though. It is NOT a spoiler, and again, I have not even verified this for myself yet. In fact, I'm pretty sure it's wrong, but I'll put it in tags:

Spoiler:
Someone said that the car Mike had with the "emergency bag" in it is the same car Walt drives to Denny's on his 52nd birthday in the S05E01 cold open. It didn't look like it to me, but can someone confirm/deny?

When Walt looks in the bag at the airport, he doesn't take the gun out then, right? That's the part I didn't get.. Like if he knew what he was planning on doing, why wouldn't he take the gun right then

Did anyone see a weird camera angle when walt visited hank? almost as if a camera was there? Also, todd taking notes of everything and keeping the spider with prints on them..is a real wtf? He killed a kid, so he cant be a cop..but what the hell is his plan

He needed the names to pay them off or kill them before he killed mike. Mike was leaving the country for good.

I'm pretty sure he was taking notes because he wants to do a really good job for Walt and its a ton of stuff to remember and do to perform the cook well. Just like Gale took notes to remember it and do it right.

I don't think that Walt planned to kill Mike until Mike was ungrateful in his eyes.

walts killing of mike seemed really impulsive to me. why kill mike?

Seriously? SERIOUSLY?

Lots of people keep saying the camera angles in certain episodes imply someone is watching or taking pictures. This show uses all kinds of different shots and angles and I think the side effect of that is that occasionally you get one that seems a little off (for lack of a better word). If they want you to think someone is watching or taking pictures or recording a call it's not going to be subtle imo, they will make it really obvious.

camera angle during part where lawyer is putting money into the safety deposit boxes implies theres a camera in lawyer's wristwatch ldo

Because Walt was angry

because he got his feelings hurt because mike told him off, saying what amounted to exactly the same thing he'd said a dozen times already. i've felt all season that the mike vs walt conflict was pretty forced and mostly just mild angstiness, so i find mike's death kind of bland despite the scene being well done. he was an epic villain who became reduced to some patsy who gets shot in a field because of hurt feelings.

amazing freaking episode though. Easily right on par with the train robbery episode and the skylar pool episode.

To expand on this; because Mike had both insulted Walt, questioned his authority and choices, and was about to get out clean and with $5M to boot.
