I'd be very surprised if we don't see some blowback on Skyler at some point. There has to be a narrative reason Ted is alive and in hospital instead of actually dead.

Klosterman made the excellent point on the BS report that Bryan Cranston's past role of Hal, the dad on Malcolm in the Middle, was actually helpful to Vince Gilligan.

Gilligan wanted to show WW go from Mr. Chips to Scarface and Cranston's previous portrayal of Hal helped viewers identify him as a harmless, almost emasculated, father and husband, which was what Gilligan wanted to viewers to see WW as in S1 and early S2.

Have an exam early on Monday morning. Not being able to watch this late on Sunday night is going to be torture.

On that subject, am I to assume from the wording of the press releases from Netflix that the episode will go up on Netflix UK literally as soon as it finishes airing in the US? I want to know what time Sunday night/Monday morning I can watch it! I haven't found concrete info anywhere. It seems like it airs at 2am UK time, so that'd mean it'd be up on Netflix at 3am?

I never know whether people are joking any more when they talk about the possibility of someone smoking the ricin cigarette.

the roomba ate the cigarette and he was fine, so smoking it can't be that bad

We need a ricin poll. Some possible outcomes:

Skylar smokes it
Lydia drinks it in her coffee, thinking its Stevia
Declan drinks it in a Classic Coke
Todd eats it because Walt tells him too
Or its just never used. I could see Villigan bringing it back into play once more, only to have it fail again.

If Jesse does in fact die, I really hope it's quick and painless and that he doesn't know what hit him. If he dies a slow death, or god forbid, OD after a lengthy bender, I'll probably cry like a baby.

The only other character death that ever came close to getting me there was Bodie.

The M60 tracer rounds are significant. My BB predictions are terrible, but I'll stick with my theory that Walt uses the M60 and the tracers to ignite the methylene tank from a distance, in order to take out a number of people nearby.

forgot about the tracer rounds. yeah that's probably right.

if it's to ignite the methlymine, todd must betray walt after he quits cooking, giving/selling the location to declan or maybe his dad, who then seize the valuable liquid.

Man, watching the end of season 4 right now. Gus was the ****ing man. And he was just doing what was best for his business and he even showed some compassion at times. He must have just gone home to his wife saying "MAN honey, work was just a complete bitch today. I just want to do what's best for us and my workers but they just hate me and misunderstand everything I do."

Then his face got blown off. Gus was the hero and the only one cooler than him is Jesse. If Walt doesn't die I'll be so ****ing pissed. He's such a horrible person and the way he manipulates Jesse makes me sick.

Walt risked his life and freedom many times for his friends and family. Saving Jesse from the 2 drug dealers Gus had kill a 10 year old boy. And many other times. Where has Gus ever risked his life or freedom for another on the show? I can name many for Walt but not one for Gus.

And speaking of the 10 year old boy that got murdered. Gus ordered the murder of a boy!!!!!!! And it wasn't even imperative for the boy to die for Gus. Just did it to bait Jesse to get himself killed. How can you think Walt worse than Gus after that? Walt poisoned a boy with a plant, but we don't know if there was a chance that it could have been fatal, or if he knew it would just make the boy look like he was gonna die, and knew the boy would recover. Did that ever get proven whether he knew it wouldn't kill the boy?

Don't get me wrong i enjoyed the Gus character. He was a very good at his business/very professional. Much more professional than Walt was acting. But he was a cold blooded killer/bad person. His kills were just to run his business smoother, and to make a point of who was in charge. Where Walt's kills were because he was forced into a corner to kill or be killed, or arrested. Not saying Walt didn't do slimy things(especially towards the end), but he was forced into a corner by Gus and others. Gus was never pressured into a corner like Walt was on a constant basis. Gus killed to strengthen business where Walt killed for survival.

The show makes Walt look like a sniveling scumbag in the later seasons while Gus looks respected and awesome. But in reality Gus did much worse for much less reason. Walt is a better person than Gus.

Gus was a professional and expected everyone to act like it as well. He chose very carefully his co workers as seen with how he first dismissed Walt's proposition to work for him early on when he said Walt wasn't professional enough. Then when **** hit the fan he obviously had to clean the mess in any way possible.

Had Jesse been more stable, Gus would've stayed 100% business driven. Gus is a better man than Walt imo.

I'm not gonna wade in on the "is Walt worse than Gus" discussion, but it amazes me how people talk like there's some 'other side' to Walt that the show isn't revealing, as if the writers are just journalists writing from a biased perspective. It's testament to the greatness of the show, but it's really weird. The show doesn't make Walt look like a snivelling scumbag, he is a snivelling scumbag.

I very much expect Jesse to be the end of Walt, be it directly or indirectly. I think most likely though they will end up in a fight/stand off and Jesse will either kill him or injure him/turn him in.

Jesse will break good in the end, either working with the DEA to catch meth dealers or telling his story to warn generations of youth, etc etc.
