Finished the season last night
Spoiler:
I enjoyed the first half better than the last half. There was too much going on. Two murder plots, each of which should have been their own season (or focused half-season arc), plus the Koreatown killer stuff that just seemed thrown in randomly, and then his mom's case. I wouldn't even have remembered there was a KTown killer if someone hadn't posted about it here.

Despite all the plot they were chewing through, I found myself bored and not caring towards the end. I guess it was just too unfocused that nothing really gripped my attention. I finished ep 9 a few days ago and didn't care enough to watch the last episode until last night. A murder detective plot should have me staying up late because I can't wait to finish it rather than just getting around to the last episode whenever I had nothing else to watch.

Still enjoy the show, but it just seemed all over the place this season. I don't know why they need to combine plots from at least two different books (not sure if the KTown killer stuff is leftovers from a third book) into one season and have the plots unfolding concurrently. Either do shorter seasons, tell two stories sequentially in a season, or find a more coherent way to intertwine them.

to be fair, it is kinda bland/boring much of the time, but the portrayal of LA is what keeps me involved here

It hits that sweet spot for me. It's not trying to be high art, but it's not a rote procedural ether.

Every person is different but this is easily one of my favorite shows. I’m a Bosch fan I just wish they would do one book a season.

i thought i loved this show. now i'm not so sure.

i thought i really liked the books too, and now i'm not so sure.

did the show really go downhill?

are the books overrated? while bosch is a very moral character, is he kind of a boring ahole?

Of course, but he's also a badass. Goes a long way with me.

Whoever shoots this show is seriously in love with LA. If you're a fan of the city, it's worth watching for that alone.

the books are highly regarded. hollywood is one of the leading characters in the books. i mean the city is even more a part of the books than it is a part of the show. that part is pretty cool. but imo its important to keep in mind this is copaganda

"The Bosch universe is expanding.

IMDb TV has picked up a spin-off of the long-running crime drama with stars Titus Welliver, Mimi Rogers and Madison Lintz reprising their roles from the original series.

This comes as the seventh and final season of the show launches this summer on Amazon.

The untitled spin-off will follow Harry Bosch, played by Welliver, as he embarks on the next chapter of his career and finds himself working with his one-time enemy and top-notch attorney Honey “Money” Chandler, played by Rogers. With a deep and complicated history between this unlikely pair, they must work together to do what they can agree on – finding justice."

Has anyone else finished the final season (7)? I sat down to watch the last 3 episodes last night, only to discover there are only 8 episodes this season. Enjoyed it.

I just binge watching S7 while homebound with a bad cold (that's what I get for not wearing a COVID mask). Its one of my favorite series and it did not disappoint. The Bosch characters always seem very real and nuanced compared to other shows. The Los Angeles Hollywood area is a character of the show as well. I was amazed they were able to shoot S7 without showing any evidence of masks or COVID. That said I have some quibbles with S7. The way the criminal defense lawyer Honey "Money" Chandler character was handled seemed not the best and Bosch's solution to the Mickey Peña arrest predicament in the final episode seemed hasty. I don't want to give out spoilers. Looks like a version of Bosch TV series will continue on but on a different network and in a different format.

watched Bosch Legacy first 6 episodes on FreeVee. IMO, sorry to say, not up to par with with previous series at all. Kind of dull and actors seemed to be walking through their parts with little emotion or tension. Will finish it anyway.

All 10 episodes are out as of Friday the 27th. I still have 2.5 to go to finish. I like it.

Last 3-4 eps were good. Worth watching for sure. Agree that the cliff-hanger was a bummer though.
