Just finished episode 2 and..

4 eps in and its as good as ever.

Finished them all (season 4). Really really enjoyed it. The little animation "tricks" they do here and there really added to some of the episodes and I thought the music was fantastic throughout, even more so than ever.

4 episodes in and liking it so far. Damn this show is dark

Rewatching from season 1 episode 1, so it will take me a bit to get to the new stuff.

The random jokes in the background are always gold. A sign with beef jerky $4.99, and beef friendly $9.99 killed me for some reason.

New season is great, except for Aaron Paul obviously.

Superlative season. Brilliance almost all the way through.

somehow the show keeps getting better. i thought this season's ending (the last 2 episodes, really) were some of the most brilliant stuff theyve done.

This season was a bit light on the Bojack character, especially after episode 2. And his storyline this season ended somewhat normally. He takes a new job and has an okay relationship with his half-sister and just about all the other characters. Though, his relationship with his mother seems irreparable.

We got lots of Princess Caroline and very little of it with Bojack by her side. Diane and Mr. Peanutbutter, Todd, and Beatrice Horseman also got a lot of storytime without Bojack.


I was slightly annoyed with the unrealistic hard-left portrayal of fracking and the excessive mass shoortings mid-season. That struck me as real world politics being awkwardly added to the show.

he wasnt as much in their storylines because he hadnt been in their lives. the season was about how they were moving on and having lives without him, and how he reconciled that fact. finding someone who "needed" him in hollyhock, but then not really, but then she could. i thought it was really beautiful how they did that whole arc.

Can someone give me a good episode number to watch as a stand alone? I tried two random ones and really couldn't get into it. But that seems almost impossible based on the reactions in here. I really dig South Park for starters.

Episodes 1-end of season. This show isn't great at all for standalone episodes. I think if you watch the first season and get a hang of the flow of characters and how the world is written, you can then somewhat watch any random episode and get the humor and motivations of the character. Trying to watch an episode without understanding the ins and outs of the major characters doesn't really work anywhere. Hell, if you haven't seen a few episodes of Simpsons, trying to randomly tune into an episode and see Homer do something stupid wouldn't make any sense.

Watch the first 7 or 8 episodes. If you're not compelled to watch the rest, then it's not for you.

I don't think this is great advice. Bojack stumbles out of the gate... I remember giving up on the show 4 or 5 episodes in and picked it up again later due to the reviews here. It really takes Bojack the first half of season 1 to get rolling. From the Herb episode on it the show really finds its groove.

Rafiki - if you're struggling start with Season 1 Episode 8. If that one and the next few don't hook you then yeah, you can shut it down.
