Bojack Horseman (Will Arnett) is a horse, a former 90's sitcom star whose career has fallen on hard times. He hangs out in his killer Hollywood (Hollywoo) Hills house with his freeloader roommate (Aaron Paul). He on/off dates his agent (Amy Sedaris) and spends time with his autobiography ghost writer (Alison Brie).
The show is a sendup of Hollywood, while examining modern day ennui.
I love the way they work in traits of what animal the character is. Mr. Peanutbutter kills me. His alarm clock : "Who's a good boy?" "I am"
Maggots?! JFC these people are sick. I love it.
They work a ton of these into the background, with the rando animals. Lots of details for repeat viewings. IMO, Bojack is as good with the Easter eggs you might miss, as The Wire.
