Gillian is not alive, but the message of her last scene was stronger than her impending death. It was a reminder to Nucky of how, out of many other delaings, he was the reason the then14 yr old girl was raped.

But fk that, how bout that guy w the mask eh?

I thought she was just babbling incoherently but that makes more sense. Gotta rewatch that part now.

Liked how they wrote the scene with the drunk nasty ex-soldier guy (don't remember his name). He's a real dick but understood the situation and handled it the right way when Richard showed up with the kid.

Re: Boardwalk Empire: Season 3

Gillian's last scene was an attempt to remind us of her past and make her a sympathetic character... but i still dont think she's dead.

Seems clear that Gillian is alive, but can't be certain I suppose.

Re: Boardwalk Empire: Season 3

you pretty much can when you factor in how rare it is for a semi-main character on any show to die without us actually seeing it happen, or their dead body. i doubt they open next season and just say "oh so Gillian's dead." Owen was killed off screen but we saw his corpse 10 minutes later

There's nothing left for her. So it wouldn't surprise me if she died. What's her story next year?

An interview with Terence Winter by Sepinwall confirms Gillian is alive

So Gillian has enough heroin (?) in that syringe to kill Gyp but not herself? Hmm

Solid finale. Lots of possibilities for next season. Interested to see the relationship between Means/Mellon.

Who IS that masked man!

Very satisfying season finale. God, I just hope the backalley women's fertility clinic gets off the ground next year. can't believe they left that thread dangling.

Re: Boardwalk Empire: Season 3

I still think last week's episode was better, particularly for the anticipation that it created for this week's episode.

Not that this episode wasn't absolutely amazing. Was so nervous during the entire Harrow scene. They definitely closed the season very very well indeed.

Don't really make sense that Mellon would be willing to help Nucky out with his mob war despite a radically different original agreement.

First and foremost: RIP Gyp. Your GOATness as a villain will be sorely missed. When he snatched that syringe out of her hand I was fistpumping in the hopes he had dodged the reaper.

If Richard is done with this series I am too. Aw f**k no I'm not. This is awesome.

Just re-watched the scene. He didn't miss any on-screen shots, but there are multiple gunshots that you don't see but can hear that he may have missed. But probably not.

It doesn't help him in any way with Rothstein in control of the distillery. He has no other choice if he wants to regain control (if he gains control through legal means, he doesn't necessarily have to deal with Nucky but at least he has his property back)
