Like someone said, it made sense what he was saying but it had no relevance to anything.

He recited Kipling's "If" at one point; was that what he was saying in German or was it something else entirely? I thought I heard a "dumbkopf" in there.

Prediction on Gyps death..................

He ends up in bed with Gillian doing that asphyxation thing and she offs him because she's good at the killing thing.

Very anti-climatic end for him....no pun intended

Very much looking forward to the finale. That was a great episode.

would you have said that a few weeks ago ?

i think the BE writers have done a good job setting everything up into an epic finale

Different people

Gyp as far as we know wasn't in NY. He didn't deal with that situation at all.

I did the same thing. I'm glad I watched Homeland, then this, because I was pretty impressed by Homeland last night. The other way around and I wouldn't have enjoyed both, as BE blew it out of the water.

Anyone give Gyp any chance at all for surviving the finale?

I like the sex idea for his death, but I feel it would be a shame if they dont get him and Capone into a scene together. I guess they could without Gyp being killed at that particular time, but you gotta believe that Capone is gonna be getting his hands dirty.

I suspect Masseria has Gyp taken out but I'm hoping the writers surprise us and leave him alive. The one villain a season arc is for lesser shows.

No way Gyp doesnt get off-d. Nucks obv winning the war, and if somehow Gyp does not get killed in it, Masseria will just kill him. After all he was spared because of promises which will finish unkept..

Didn't he give them to the IRA in return for their whiskey last season? That was the purpose of the trip when he and Owen went to Ireland.
Did he hand all the guns over is the question. i.e does he have any left.

I tend to agree. Joe is not happy with Gyp that an attempt was made on his life by Nucky, after Gyp had assured Joe that he could get rid of Nucky.
Gyp has taken over the whole town, but he still doesn't have Nucky. I don't think Joe is prepared to wait any longer.

It's just a wild guess, and likely to be wrong so I doubt I am ruining anything.

I thought the scene was fine and Joe and Gyp probably think (at that time) that Nucky has no one around him and they can come into AC and kill him no problem. Also, scene was powerful because of the emotion of Margaret and Nucky piecing together the affair.

For some reason I get the feeling Gyp enjoys the hunt and knowing Nucky is running scared from him, hence the heads up.

I'm sure these have been posted, but I hadn't seen them until today, so hopefully this is new to someone else as well.
