That was good TV.

Realizing she made a bad choice with Gyp may not do her much good, though. The real problem is that she made a horrendous choice with the way she treated Richard this episode. Good idea, insulting the sniper's girlfriend, calling him less than human, then kicking him out. You certainly don't have the fear of him putting a bullet in you from a mile away hanging over you now until one of you is dead.

Excellent episode but could have done without the chalky nuggy club deal. Really added no suspense and everyone knew the outcome before hand.

I cant find the post anymore but whoever said that the interaction between nucky and his butler was the best part of the episode is dead on. Probably my favorite minor char and he has been pushed out by the ever growing cast. I liked that he was central to this episode and thought all his scenes were great.

I also liked how nucky does chose to try to save him twice as well as his nephew. It shows that he does have redeeming qualities.

Best hour of tv i have seen in a long time.

Unless Harrow joins up with Nucky then I really can't see where he goes after this, thinking there is a good chance he dies after killing a few.

I'm slightly confused by Margaret's departure. Did she leave because of Slater's death, or did Nucky send her away due to the danger? Is she gone for good?

Nucky said that the crate with Owen was a warning that **** was about to go down. Probably sent away to be out of harms way. Though I can only hope that the revelation of the affair will lead to them never coming back. It's no surprise that one of the best episodes in recent TV history was one that was didn't include Margaret. The only family story line I was mildly interested in was the polio storyline just because I wanted to see how Nucky would react.

Capone stole the episode, and he only had 2 lines. Incredible stuff.

Yep. Perfect episode IMO. Definitely the best in this show's history, which is saying a lot.

Ths show needs to start including hits that arent incredibly poorly planned and executed even more poorly.

A bit of a nit, but why would you send owen to nucky's as a warning that you're coming for nucky and then come for nucky? Seems like just coming for nucky is smarter. Still one of the top 10 eps of any show I've ever seen.

But why send a message if you are just going to kill him that same night? I think a bullet in his head sends the same message. If you really want to kill someone, it makes no sense to let them know first. Messages only have relevance if the person recieving the message lives.

Also, why send only three men. Gyp has 50+ on the way and Nucky has no clue they are coming - assuming they didn't send Owen body. Just wait for all 50 to arrive and then Nucky is a goner for sure.

I loved the episode, but the opening scene made absolutely no sense.

It was coherent German, but rambling. It was complete sentences, etc. but it had nothing to do with the plot and was similar to what he was saying in English - I can't for the life of me recall now what he was actually saying though.
