I don't know that the parts about her being calculating are wrong, but I think she very much could also be just doing the above.

She doesn't do things on a whim for the sake of it, she's quite measured and tactful, if not a little schizo and incestuous.

She sought out a young buck who looked like her son and called him Jimmy. In the same episode when she reminded herself while berating Lucky that it was Jimmy's house, then removed all photos of Jimmy in the house, the house that Chianese informed her last week could be hers if she declared Jimmy dead. i realize these guys are actors, but Christopher McDonald has been in so many crappy comedies over the years (not talking about Happy Gilmore) that I don't like seeing an actor like that on this show.

Reading around the net, i cant believe people disliked this more than episode 2. it wasnt great, but episode 2 was just so damn boring.

im not going over their resumes, but Macdonald probably has a lot worse crap on his... but that's fair i guess. i dont associate Buscemi with any one character, I'm sure people always see the Lebowski character. MacDonald will never top Shooter.

Regarding the gypsy - was there actually a guy outside the house? Is the kid just nuts? I kept waiting for "gypsy" to be "gyp rosettit" but i knew that wasn't gonna be the case. Was Owen the gypsy? What was the point of all that?

Also, we have to assume the kid saw Owen and Margaret right?
