Boardwalk Empire: Season 3 Boardwalk Empire: Season 3

It was in AC, not NY (as has been stated)

Chalky is not Micky, if Nucky asks for a favor, he will see to it that it's done right-- esp something delicate like this. Clearly you want someone scary, but also someone with restraint. If they hurt the guy, then he's no good to Nucky anyways.

1) Always say gl to Rosetti when he's all-in
2) Shoot everyone in the house except the guy you came to kill

Is the doctor's fiancee the girl who was in the car giving a hj to some guy when the survivor from Jimmy and Al Capone's hijacking came up to the car?

Van Alden is progressing which is awesome, they need to just kill Margerate and Nucky imo. **** them both.

Hopefully we have an interesting ep next week tho since war is brewing.

Haven't started S03 yet. Is it worth it to start now and catch up? I am planning on watching all at once after the season is over.

I'm starting to get overwhelmed by all of the characters and plots going on. I had no idea who the guy was that was crying on the podium and I've watched every episode of this show. He must have been in there but i just can't remember him.

I feel like i need to take notes watching this show and I'm mentally not there because Homeland is coming on next and I am way more excited about that.

The "blubbering walrus" (I forget exactly what Means called him) is Jess Smith, actual historical figure.

Speaking of Means, how good is Stephen Root?

Not loving the last couple episodes, even though I'm sure it's leading to something awesome.

Didn't love or hate this episode, just felt like a bit of setup and a bit of service to lesser characters. Stephen Root is very talented though, and I was happy to see him get top billing when the credits rolled.

Yeah I felt the same way. No Van Alden, Capone or Rothstein and limited Eli made me a bit sad.

Everything in this ep felt like 10% too broad to me. The dialog just felt kinda big and off.

Richard stuff was good, although at times it feels like a cheat with him, because he's so ****ed up they never really need to explain why he does what he does.

Do we think Mags realizes that her son is crying out for a father figure and that Nucky probably would listen if she told him? He's demonstrated he does care about the kids. I think they're putting her in some interesting places.

The Gretchen Mol stuff I could take or leave. I just don't know that she's ever felt like an important enough character to spend this much time servicing her.

But the margaret sympathizers will tell you her scenes were important and we couldn't do without the whole fire/child abuse/revenge affair line. Because we're all mysoginists LDO.

So Gillian is gonna kill Roger to get control of the brothel right?

I really liked the legal aspect of this episode, and look forward to Nucky eventually working with the attorney from the AG office to bring down Remus.

Seems to me they're hinting at Gillian killing him and saying its Jimmy so she gets total control of the brothel. I could be wrong...
