Ok i'm slightly lost cause my tv sucks balls, and I couldn't see too well on the booze convoy scene at the gas station due to the darkness.

Did the convoy get robbed by Rosetti and his crew or just intimidated to turn around back to Atlantic City?

but don't see it as a reference to vegas.
Definitive correct answer

Intimidated/cut off gas so they had to go back.

This might have been the worst episode Ive seen from this series so far. Pretty boring all around and no real movement in any of the storylines.

Call me ADD, call me an idiot... That was one of the most boring episodes of anything I've ever seen.

Didn't mind it, I like that Nucky's Irish bodyman (his name escapes me) is becoming more of a main character

I liked it. Very cool character development and chess piece movement.

Agree with Dominic's post. I guess you can say it was a pretty boring episode, no drama or killing for the most part but it's setting up some storylines for the rest of the season

Well I guess they cant have as many bodies as the first episode, there would only be Margret left by the end of the series. Would be funny to see all the Margret haters ITT heads asplode though.

I thought I fell asleep for like a few seconds of the 1st ep, but I decided to rewatch it right before this one and it turns out I missed a lot more than I realized and it really changed what I thought about the ep. Loved it. The Van Alden parts totally grew on me.

Really liked this as well, just everything feels very interesting. A whole lot of "I'm excited to see what happens next".

I thought the bit with the dude going from bumping the table to slashing faces felt weird and a bit too convenient for the plot they were trying to advance.

Eli was really excellent.

Nucky and his razor blade had me worried all ep. Plz to not be cutting up the really attractive frequently naked girl.

Cannavale still feels too big and too cartoonish. If he's to be the season long antagonist I'm not sure how coming out with a play that bold doesn't escalate things to the point where he should just be dead within in minutes.

Steven Root is amazing. I wasn't sure that I'd buy him in this sort of role, but he de-schulbed fantastically.

It's not an arranged marriage?

Didn't Maybelle bring him home to introduce him to he family in Season 2, and Chalky got offended at the dinner table?

Arranged marriage?

It's anything but that. The guy's been dating her for as long as the show's been on, he just asked her father for permissions first, which is a thing people do. She just had a little "Shawty want a thug" moment and balked at marrying her boyfriend. Chalky did not find a random doctor to marry his daughter or anything.

Man, I can't imagine Stephen Root *not* being fantastic in a role like this.

ok fine, to clarify, arranged in the sense that once chalky knew the doctor was gonna be useful to him/his operation he began demanding his daughter marry him

Was anyone else kind of thinking that Rosetti might go off on the gas station attendant, the waitress, or basically anyone who confuses him or that he conceives to be sarcastic after last week's opening scene?

Ya I'm basically just waiting for it when he is in the scene. I really don't like the character but I did chuckle when he was getting the pasta description and after his first bite he looked at his partner there and said something like "Better than mama's" or some **** haha.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure the point of that scene last week was so that we'd have that in mind anytime Rosetti had a discussion like that with somebody

yea they're gonna build that tension with every person he talks to all season. i dont know, the character isn't working for me. Bobby Cannevale just isn't good.

I hate expressions like this, but Stephen Graham and Vincent Piazza "make the scene theirs" when they are on. Gyp doesn't give off the same feel to me.

This is kinda like asking "Did anybody expect the meatballs to be round?"

During this episode, part of me felt like I did when I first watched Mad Men and just couldn't get into it. Now, I'm a huge fan of Mad Men, but I had to work hard to become one. In this, I knew things were going on and that I should be very interested and intrigued, but I wasn't at all.
