I caught Friday's ep and it was the first one I had seen in a while. It was all Red and no Elizabeth. Which was great. I could watch Red-only episodes for the next 30 years and not get bored. spader just nails his character so well.

Megan Boone is no longer with the show.
she quit to do her own thing (includes spoilers about season 8):

and the last 2 episodes of season 8 had a 2.3 rating. (horrible for a major network show)
i predict Blacklist will be canceled mid-season for season 9 unless ratings pick up.

wow.. half way through season 9 (February 2022), the series was renewed for a tenth season.
