I think its a good show and has improved this season, but the pacing of the last 4 episodes has been a mess - they've basically been stuck on a beach negotiating the whole time.

It's almost as if they ran out of money or something.

I enjoy the political part of this show, so it isn't too slow for me, at least not yet. I don't know how they can do Piracy and sail the political landscapes at the same time. I enjoyed the political aspect of the first 2 seasons of Spartacus, it was much easier for them to throw in action though.

Thought that was an amazing episode and so well set up for an epic run in this season. The ending was a legit fist pump moment.

I continue to be surprised by how well this show has knitted together so many intricate story lines over both seasons, the pay off with the reveal over who Flint murdered on the boat was great.

Only minor grumble is i felt the handling of Silvers realisation of his power was uncharacteristically heavy handed writing.

1) Who was that on the boat that Flint cut up?

2) How did Vane even get to Charleston with his men?

1/ Lord Hamilton, the father of the guy he loved / miranda was married to who had his son committed and destroyed all their plans.

2/ Don't think this was explained yet, although given they specifically referenced their ship still being at Nassau i imagine it will be addressed.

2) I'm pretty sure it's the other captain that was storming the fort that flint betrayed and the homie with glasses. Prolly let him use a ship to get to charleston for some portion of the reward.

I thought this could be a possibility since they were the only players not involved in the episode but Hornigold and Vane probably hate each other as much as Flint and Vane. He did kill 30 of his men when he took his fort. Could have made some sort of fort for help deal tho and they both hate Flint.

So that was pretty amazing. This show is rolling right now. Flint and Vane together is about as unstoppable as a duo can get.

I guess I am slow because I just realized John Silver is Long John Silver.
