What exactly do you think they were doing in the room? They were finalizing the deal. It is not a deal until it is a deal lol. How do you think it works?
Personally the jump cut from a deal essentially being brokered my naked siff to phone calls and celebrations (how does his dad know about the deal but he has to call and tell attorney general's secretary rob morrow) was annoying.
I do agree that having this showdown so early on I hope and assume they have a plan for the show. Given the set up of the show it doesn't make sense if the conflict is resolved and it's hard to believe they both got so close but now are going to fight for five years.
Eh the show is starting to bug me. The conflict of interest thing is silly. Either she has to quit axe capital or he has to recuse himself. In real life it would have never gone near as far as it did with such a direct conflict of interest.
The creators of the show are not really known for keeping things tight so I guess I will just have to accept sloppy or stop watching. I continue to watch for now. It is dangerous that none of the main characters are even a little bit empathetic.
