Just finishing off S5 and watched the MethAxe episode.

Gutted that, as they were going full-on stupid (well, more than normal anyway), instead of a shady doctor, they didn't have Rick Hoffman play Louis Litt, as his character in Suits, and having him team up with Spyros for the ultimate annoying combo!

Didn't enjoy season 5 much.

I get that they can't spoil stuff in the trailer, but my excitement level is several notches below where it was before last season based on what I saw, and that's even factoring in Mafee and Dollar Bill coming back. It might just be that sans Axe this show can't stay afloat.

Is Axe confirmed to not be in this season? I thought he would have a storyline of comeback from Schweiz

I think he got out in a good spot and they did it the right way. Maybe he'd come back for a guest spot to for example give Wags some advice, but having him return would be pointless. Plus he's said publicly he's done.

I won't spoil anything, except that I felt the show had a tough time deciding whether to try to cling to the past versus fully stepping into the present. Don't get me wrong - Stoll is a fine actor and I like his right hand guy too. But it's not the same and never will be. The Chuck stuff though....was just odd. And I have no idea where they go from here when it comes to Wendy.

Last season was pretty bad imo. I'm not even sure I'm going to watch this one.

I thought the episode was fine. Set things up well and the stuff with Rhodes was lol worthy. They had to establish a new dynamic and did it.

Yup it was good. They’re building up to a solid story to tell.

It’s absolutely not the same show as S1-S3; it’s easy to feel disappointed if that’s what anyone’s expecting.

The lack of any posts now three days after E2 aired says a lot IMO. I thought the episode was very meh, although I do think the Olympics angle holds some promise in terms of a long game plot line. Watching Wags and Wendy is just sad at this point.

It's over without Axe. First 2 episodes ratings on IMDB, 5.6 and 5.9

3rd episode was better than the 2nd, especially from the supporting cast.

Somehow though I just don't care about Prince as much as I did about Axe. And the whole thing about Chuck fighting against him for the reason he is seems kind of stupid.

This season is almost unwatchable, and I thought episode 3 was terrible.

So far the season is complete meh. I just don't care about anything that's happening, and Wags isn't even good enough to carry the show anymore.

The whole show seems pointless really. It's gutted. I thought it maybe it could be salvaged; but so far it just seems more like a floundering spinoff than a show which worked so well for so long.

They are really trying to do the same show - except with Prince as the bad guy when he's not really bad, and zero of the tension between Rhodes, Wendy and Axe.

Would have been much better if they just ended it with Axe on the helicopter and bye bye. That would have been a satisfying ending.

i still watch it cos nothing else on at moment, but i lost interest in it a good while back. I think the epsiode where they took the "limitless" drug and it showed them typing 100mph was the final straw for me.

I think its boring now anyways its script is pretty naf its just a mush or cliches and name dropping.

Oh this reminds me of foreman Ali --- the question is are you young or dillon zzzzzzz

the fact they all experts in every genre of music and sports is just annoying , like when they reference something the person they are speaking to also knows what theyre talking about

And the chess quotes from giamati are tedious too.

Prince is a bad guy. He's supposed to be maximizing value for his investors, and instead he's flushing money down the toilet with his ESG virtue signaling and simping for his ex-wife.

What was the chess quote? I'm pretty sure it was not a real quote.
