wait I thought they were splitting this season up bc of the covid? so theres more episodes later. cant imagine they cancel it in the middle.

and ya, this view of Axe is much better than in past years where he was just like some robotic single minded money machine.

As I understand things, the entire season has already been written but only 7 episodes have been shot (think someone posted a link saying so earlier in the thread). So the plan is to finish shooting (& post-prod) once it’s reasonabel to do so.

I just started season 1 of this show and am enjoying it. That said, I'm reading some of these recent replies on the newest season(s) and it seems like this show kind of drops off. Any recommendations on where the show truly starts to get lame? Don't really want to waste my time on those later seasons to be honest.

Eh it's the internet, I think the complaining is overblown. Indeed seasons 1-2 are the best, but the drop in subsequent quality isn't as large as, say, The Handmaid's Tale (not that anyone's claiming otherwise).

Just fyi there are a few posts/posters ITT that complain about the show's writing but do so with arguments that don't really address the writing or pacing (and even forget entire character arcs).

And I don't think the show is much different. It's always been over the top and absurd. It's also always had ppl complain about such rediculousness.

I've definitely noticed a drop this latest season. Taylor doesn't seem to have the same effect as previous seasons - I remember loving Taylor's dialogue and now it just seems like it's lacking. Though when Axe took those pills and Taylor saved the day, that dialogue was pretty solid.

Either way, it's still definitely watchable. Not a huge fan of the new girl that the moustache guy fancies, but I guess you can't like every character

Currently rewatching Billions in preparation for season 5 part 2.

The dialogue never ceases the amaze me. The back and forward between Axe & Taylor when they negotiate the initial week to week contract is gold.

Definitely worth the rewatch if you haven't already.

It popped up in an add on my fireTV as available on Prime, so I started a rewatch a few days ago. The first couple of seasons are just so good.

I don't think it changed too much, just that the formula got stale for me

tried catching up with the series couple months ago after dropping it because i hated where it was going

couldn't continue, show is unwatchable, paul giamatti quoting billy eilish was jumping the shark for me
