good acting, entertaining enough show, nowhere near actually being really good or anything

still more enjoyable than most out there i will continue to watch. needs more midgets in lingerie to really pique my interest. i will say that the hour goes by pretty fast it's not a slog to watch at all

mehhhh but will probably still watch

Characters are pretty bland so far except Im a fan of the shrink lady. The accents are so brutal on Brody and his wife too

I like the shrink lady too, I've seen her in other stuff. She can give Giamatti the discipline he craves.

The hammiest character in the show right now is without a doubt David Costabile (who is usually real good). His lines are SO bad, lol. But outside of him I'm tolerating the cheese factor.

Tony Soprano meets Gordon Gecko meets Thomas Crown (without the art theft - yet).

The Greenwich hedge fund setting leaves the show a bit sterile and low energy for me. They need a big trade/deal that spans many episodes to at least educate the viewers. It would also be way more interesting if you didn't know if Axe was a crook and he just walked the fine line between innocent and guilty like Joe Kennedy allegedly did.

Second episode is very good. I'm on board with this. It's true though, even on a show where nothing is very subtle, David Costabile's character is like from another planet.

I liked first 2 eps, but I think there is real risk this is way too long. 12 1-hour episodes for season 1? It feels like 6 would be better.

hmm. I almost never have that problem. I rage over 6 usually.

Yeah, wtf at wanting a show to end quicker?

I'm not sure what he is trying to say. As long as it remains good, I want it to last. Just like everything duh. Second episode is good, it's already a lot more nuanced. I could see the prosecutor's ego making him become the vilain turning him into a vigilante.

Guess they stopped releasing next weeks episode on demand, hate it when they do that, makes you wait two weeks for the next episode.

I think it is pretty obvious what he is saying - he is concerned that there isn't enough story here for 12 episodes, and we will end up with filler or terrible side stories to pad the season. If that is the case (I have no idea if it will be), then a shorter season would be better.

I'm sure we've all seen shows and movies that would be improved by tighter editing and plotting, although obviously you can't really tell two episodes in.
