am I remembering this wrong, or wasn’t he trying to get information from her because his dad’s PI caught her sleeping with someone in a hotel. to me he wasnt doing that part for sexual enjoyment, he was using the situation to try to get her to admit to it by revealing certain details which is why he kept asking for more. I thought it was apparent by her reaction that it was out of the ordinary for him

that whole monologue by laura directed at her "friend" was the worst moment of the entire show and maybe in tv history. laura is a pretty awful actress but those lines did not help at all. "you are probably asking yourself if you should be angry or grateful. be grateful." ugh such cringe.

she's bad, but the final scene of ep 1 made me cringe more

Horrible! Indeed it's hard to recall any dialogue in .. anything, that sounded less natural. I don't hold it against the actor that much. It's a poorly written character.

Correct, it is not. But it's better than The Walking Dead.

It's just the usual Sorkin 'look at me I'm such a clever witty writer BS'. Despite the fact I hate Sorkin dialogue I find Billions quite enjoyable.

Was talking with my wife about this. She hates Sorkin dialogue too. I think the main difference between this show and Sorkin is pacing. In a Sorkin show, two characters will jibber at each other like two rabbits on speed. Billions allows for some pause, some breath in the conversations. Kinda like real humans talking instead of Sorkin created automatons with the Sorkin dialogue patch installed.

This coming from a guy who has Sports Night as one of his all time favorite shows.

Also, I think the Billions writers hate writing for the wife. Her character is almost entirely unneeded. It's no surprise we haven't seen her for two episodes now.

Yeah those dudes are wack. Axe's old 'cleaner' guy was a much better character

There was too much heat! So he's probably gone forever, which of course is exactly what that character would do, but damn, he's missed.

The feds (or the NYAG) did an artists mockup of him in the most recent episode so he will be back no doubt

I just binged season 1 and thought it was mediocre. Are seasons 2 and 3 more of the same or should I give it a shot?
