Classic exaggerated dialogue that I've grown to love in Billions. It's obv not realistic in the real world, but who gives a ****. It's ****ing Teddy KGB!

^ He's completely unpredictable. "No one ever knows what happened to the boy." i.e. Of all the people I told that story to, not one could guess what I did next.

I've just caught up from episode 4-10 today & i feel the first 2 seasons got me hooked, no way i'd be that interested in this season if it wasn't for how good the first 2 seasons were, especially the first. Season 3 has been so slow & they're diverging from the main plot & doesn't seem as interesting. Season 2 ended with a bang so i'll hold out hope that this season ends strong but tbh i've been disappointed thus far.

I figured the boy was him but had no idea the meaning so just left it. Still don't really get the meaning in the whole context.

Anyway, can't wait to see Connery try to mess it up

Just rooting for Connerty to get some redemption/revenge by end of season.

you can't just have chuck v axe every single episode for 6 seasons though.

some of it has gotten even stupider than usual, but overall i still find it to be the most enjoyable show on television.

Taylor vs Axe is going to be EPIC!

I can see Taylor and Connerty reconnecting in season 4 or possibly this season's finale with them and possibly Mafee teaming up to take down both Axe and Chuck. The wildcard is what side Wendy eventually chooses. She has been to use a Big Brother term a "floater," but when forced to pick a side I'm not quite sure where she will go.

Also, just recently watched the most recent season of OITNB and didn't realize Taylor played one of the skinheads on that show.

I'm late to this party, only now just starting Season Two, and only following the thread no further than I've seen. Wasn't going to post until I caught up, but need to address this:

Re: chess hustler cheating is unrealistic. I've never played a hustler in the park... but I've seen YouTube videos of these guys getting caught trying sleight-of-hand moves. The first one I ever saw involved the very GM who played the hustler on Billions.



There's another example in the Related Videos on that page. In both cases, the cheat was attempting to reposition a piece, not remove it entirely.

Let's just agree the writers changed "repositioned" to "stole" to make it easier for non-chessplayers to follow along.

Lol, Rhoades Senior has had some killer A+ lines this season.

subtitles show it as taiga. not that it matters.

anyway, I am sure there is a metaphor in the 2 steak house scenes juxtaposition. in the first, with chuck and sacker, the guy drops salt on it. in the second, with chuck and ari, they say it doesnt even need salt. proly something about friendship.

regardless, that was proly the best episode of the series. so many great lines. chucks dad was hilarious.

Rhodes Sr with the pearls of wisdom. This show never disappoints.

The opening scene and Kate drooling over the salt guy was excellent.

my favorite line was the oberlin heavy petting line.

Definitely the best episode so far of the season, very entertaining. This show writes the best dialogue i think of probably any show i've ever watched. They have pivoted from the original story line between the rift of Axe & Rhodes but the new conflicts between Brian & Rhodes & Taylor & Axe could be fun as well. Looking forward to the Finale next week.

The only storyline I care about is axe vs Taylor. Would be great if next season is all about that.
