Mark noms Adam/Damien

He's getting so much hate for this from the internet/rhap. I'll totally concede he's done a lot of bad stuff in the house, but I actually love his HoH play. I think it's like the first time recs sees a weird line in poker and everyone starts talking about how much the guy sucks just because its throwing convention out the window.

I don't think he needed to win but I can get why he thinks he needs to build a resume.

A - Given the information available to him, start of week he can't know if anyone else is willing to turn on PB. These noms gain him that information, and now he knows there is no one else in the game with a backbone so time to ride PBs.

B - It kept a ton of optionality in his game through Veto. I think a lot of people hating because they first assume a single strategic goal. But he can still target almost anyone in the house based on the info he collects today and the deals people make. One of his best options is after the Veto telling Dam that this was a secret plan all along and he wants Cory out.

C - It was pretty much costless. Adam still has no intention of nomming him, Cory still wants to keep him, Damien is (likely) gone, Este now wants him at f5.

D - It IS resume building. As long as the final result is not a bad one for him, I'd assume a month from now people will just remember his reign as a comp win and a week in which there was actual tension. Doing the max% f2 noms of Cory/Esta VTE Cory would have been so passive, and people would have acted as if he's just a puppet HoH.

I think it’s good to bond with Pat getting down toward the endgame

Something I think people have totally missed is that with the HoH not playing in veto the optimal strategy is to never put your target up initially if you can manage it socially

Ugh the third negative twist for him this game. This one really really hurts

No offense, but I think a heartfelt message from mom or pop couldve humanized Mark to the houseguests

Dane is extremely good at the game.

Well given that they declined to send a video there wasn’t much I could do (shrug) I looked super weird in that edit, not sure how they edited it

I think having a messed up upbringing maybe gives him some leeway on being awkward and helps him if he makes the end

Dane is really good, Mark has known he’s the fav for a long time but legitimately no one else has even considered targeting him. His connections are so strong that he can’t win any comps now, and even then simply voting could get people bitter

Lame that they ended the kyra/anthony confrontation with them saying “im not weak”
In reality, it ended with them in tears

I do think that Anthony is pretty overrated in that most of the spots where he has had 'control' have been just cause he was being needlessly flip floppy

Maki week is a classic example. Adam/Mark both wanted him out and it was obv the right move. Anthony should have been on board, flipping the house 4 times wasn't skill, it was indecision.

Still his ability to manipulate and talk about nothing in a smooth voice is impressive

To Damien: "Adam/Dane have been playing you, I put you up because they've been pushing to get you out all game and they ran their fake f3 by me before offering it to you. I want you in this game and finally have the numbers to take a shot if you're with me, lets shake on f3"

To Kyra: "Adam/Dane have been playing you, they made a fake f3 with you and ran it by me to lock in your vote last week. They're snakes and they wanted me to put you up this week. We're both at the bottom and need to sit next to each other for any chance at f2."

To Adam: "PB is done, I'm out first if we get to f4 so I'm taking my shot now. Like I said before you're still my endgame plan so giving you a head start to go out and secure Anthony/Kyras votes.

To Dane: "PB is done, I'm out first if we get to f4 so I'm taking my shot now. My cards are on the table so you won't change my mind, go campaign for votes.'

Adam v Dane in the living room spilling their whole games and turning Damien/Kyra to Mark who at least has been overtly not working with them.

Anthony vetos Damien, Dane goes up, Anthony/Kyra VTE Dane. Prince of Kelowna is slain.

Mark is in great shape no matter who wins f5 HoH.



More likely:
Dane/Ant throw HoH, kyra loses easily. It'll be Damien vs Mark. If Damien wins he noms Kyra/Mark and Kyra goes out. If Mark wins he noms Damien/Adam, Adam wins veto Damien is evicted.

PB f4 seems highly likely, and that's a bad spot for Mark but I do like his chances at squeezing out another comp win or two. And he can win vs Ant, I think he would manipulate Ant into a really arrogant f2 performance. Theres a few potential bitter jurors and a few who may mainly care about comps.

Love them dropping bombs on Estefania in the goodbye messages. Are they telling each other that they do this?

This week is looking bad... should be flippable if people are smart though, and there’s no non gamers left
