I agree with most of your tiers. I wouldn't want to see Janelle though. Nicole and Swaggy would go into my replacement tier. I have read Swaggy isn't going to be on and I haven't heard Brett's name as a potential player but I hope he is.

Sadly, with all the pregaming going on and all the connections I think I would take Josh in a last longer bet over anyone but obviously not because of his abilities. If the rumors are all true he is basically the bridge between a potential season 20 alliance of about 4-6 and whatever alliance Paul goes into the game with.

The Swaggy C thing is pretty funny. He says he’s done with TV because he is making too much money daytrading which is hilarious.

Im interested in seeing Janelle on feeds at least. Her tv character is pretty tired but she seems like she’d be a decent hang

I’m not sold that Paul will even have a pregame alliance. He seems like he doesnt **** with BB very much. That could be wrong. I wouldnt be surprised if he’s neglected relationships with almost everyone he played with.
But maybe he at least has connections with LA people.

I remember seeing Paul has connections with at least Day and Nicole I think. I know Paul played with Day so maybe she wouldn't want to be aligned with him. James was also rumored and might be in Paul's alliance but I hope we don't get James. I've been reading these rumors for a while now so it's possible when I read who Paul was connected to it was people who are no longer in the rumors. Hopefully we'll know the cast soon enough. I must say I am skeptical about a lot of the names being mentioned but I'm hopeful.

I don't know how I feel about a season where a lot of the alliances happen pregame but I guess there's no way around it in a returnee season like this.

Christmas was one of the names floating around that would be aligned with Paul. I have no desire to watch her play again.

One season was one season too many for me to bear watching Paul Abrahamian. His second was only bearable because of how it ended.

Well Dan and Derrick aren't on. They way Derrick talked on twitch to Dan made it seem like there won't be Big Brother for a while. At least way longer than the July 22 rumor.

Just found out Dan has a series on youtube where he watches season 14 and commentates on everything from his perspective. Gonna give it a try since there's no Big Brother for now.

Given Big Brother's long and storied racist past I'm surprised they are doing another season at all, but I suppose the almighty dollar is what drives the decisions of multi-billion dollar corporations like ViacomCBS.

I started a 20-years-later rewatch of BB1 on the anniversary yesterday, and plan to continue each day through the first boot at least.

It's incredible cringe. Everything about the show is bad, from the horrific casting to the format to the editing to the theme song to the graphics.

The worst thing of all is that this came at a moment when Survivor 1 was just becoming a phenomenon (a few episodes in), and I guess BB outside the U.S. had been a big hit. So the producers and cast all believed that they were making this huge thing, and they act accordingly. The 10 Houseguests arrive in 10 huge SUVs with a police escort through L.A., there's a big show of saying goodbye to their families, and all of their words and actions make it obvious that they took it for granted they were going to be the most famous people who had ever lived.

The most loathsome of the cast for me so far is Curtis. 20-something from NY, starting a job as a federal prosecutor (puke) after the summer. He's a nerd, but not like a Cochran or an Ian nerd. He dresses poorly with ill-fitting clothes, carries himself awkwardly, and has a barely-concealed off-putting arrogance. (The latter, again, could be partly the fault of producers for hyping this thing so much.)

Some years back I wrote about the first nomination episode which I'd rewatched a few minutes of; looking forward to revisiting that. A few months ago I also caught a few minutes of an episode with my boy Curtis pathetically attempting to hit on Jordan (another poor casting decision) the exotic dancer, looking forward to that too.

Chicken George is by far the best of the cast. He's the only one who's that correct mix of "regular person who also happens to be good on television" that they were mostly going for.

I recommend giving it a quick look as a time capsule.

S1E3 is where we get both Chicken George's nickname (although the origin isn't shown, he's just casually referred to as that once) and his chicken dance.

Earlier, Will Mega is told by another HG that he has to cool it, references him telling someone to "shake their booty" - but they didn't even show that, nor really any of his other behavior. Wtf! Your whole thing as a producer of this show is trying to be as sleazy and dramatic as possible, and you decide not to show a HG harassing other HGs? But you still reference it?
